Corbin's Delusional Quotes

His bold lineup change is probably going to be inserting Tinsley into the starting group...

"It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start."

Corbin to the team before last night's game.

"You can listen to criticism, but most of the people criticizing don't have any idea what you're going through. They probably haven't done anything you're doing in their whole life. They can talk, but talk is cheap. We've got to out an do what we've got to do."

That is so UNREASONABLE!!

Listen to the segment. 1280 ripped him hard for it, and basically said lots of ex-players were terrible, and for example our current GM didn't play ball...I think it's hard to argue with the Jazz own PR wing on this one.

Also my bad it was in the pre-game media interview, so it was Corbin that chose to share it with the fans, not something that was off the record.

heard that quote on the radio today.

totally makes him seem like a pouty douche who can't even hack it in the small market of slc. If for some miracle he were to not get re-upped here, i pray that statements like that would prevent his hiring on another team.

There are countless people who havent played in the NBA who have at least, if not more understanding and knowledge of the game than he.

His interview today on 1280 was interesting

Rough abbreviated and interpreted Transcription:

On his interview with spencer checketts today, spence asked [jokingly] "I scored 39 as a junior in highschool, does that at least qualify as enough experience to criticise the team?

Corbin: If you want to talk about Jr. High school, yeah.

Spence: [still jokingly] I had 9 3s, it was a good night for me

Spence: do you feel like your team has been unfairly criticized?

Ty: lots of incoherent mumbling followed by i don't give it much credence

Spence: [still jokingly]: if you want me to send you that game tape, 1994 vs Brian McNabb, 9 of 11 from 3... no big deal... maybe sign me to a 10 day next year?

Ty: [seeming annoyed/serious] we'll see if we can find a jr. high school who's looking for somebody.

Spence: [sounding more serious] it was actually high school...

Ty: you said Jr. High.

After the interview concludes

Spence [ to gordon monson (co-host)] basically (politely) called Ty a dick, saying he was just trying to lighten the mood, that ty is handling all this like a little kid, and basically that he thinks the comment about people who dont play not having idea is one of the stupidest things he's heard a coach say, and that he has no idea how to handle peoples criticisms (Which are valid---- jazz were 1 and 7 at that point)

He is so completely terrible on many levels. Hope that Lindsey first mark on this team is to heave Ty's *** out of here.

I listened to that interview earlier today. You took quite a few liberties to make Ty seem like a douche. They were having fun talking about basketball and Ty was barbing him in a joking manner. Your transcript is literally like a North Korean propaganda article.

Ty: I have never snowboarded or done anything in a half-pipe. Yet, when the Olympics come around and I watch some for awhile, it is not that hard to see who is better at the sport. I do not have to actually engage in the sport to be able to discern better quality efforts by watching several different people.

Sure, we here have not played NBA basketball. But it is still basketball, and we have played that. In addition, we get to judge the performance of you and your team 82 times per year against other teams. We can see that you are lacking and there is not really any expert out there who backs you up.

No one is a bigger douche that Spence Checketts, so I can't blame Ty for not being way into the interview.

You wouldn't blame Corbin for anything. This was Corbin being a complete moron. He attacked the press and the fans. He was a pompous piece of **** in that interview and his concern for his job was pretty obvious.
.
And Corbin was by far the bigger douche in that interview. I'm not a fan of Spence but the statement by Corbin was stupid.
