Coronavirus

We already know you know nothing, and don't even know how to laugh. LOL

"well-managed" doesn't mean people won't die in large numbers. In China, Concentration Camps are "well-managed".

I'm sure your classroom is "well-managed" too, but most of your students go home snickering.
When you say "we" I wonder what the **** you mean.

you've got no clue how irrelevant Trump is. Don't be an idiot trying to just make this a DumpTrump bonanza.

We've got established sysetms since almost 20 years ago, for taking action. Trump has gotten "out of the way". In the United States, the money needed to implement the plans is already going out. The plan is not perfect, not nearly.... but the most effective step is in full motion.... Public awareness.

You should've seen how fast all the Chlorox sold out of all the stores, all the cleaning supplies. People are changing plans to avoid unnecessary travel. The Casinos and hotels are nearly empty. Luxury Cruise liners are parked, empty, except for a few anchored offshore. Industry efforts to implement safety protocols are in full swing. Schools are changing their policies in critical respects. Kids with sniffles are straying home....

I think 90% of our population will be effectively "vaccinated" by exposure The Actual Virus, not just by having an injection of a vaccine, by about two months out, which will mean almost half of our population will be asymptomatic carriers at that time, and it will be nearly impossible to escape it.... but we'll be geared up for treating those seriously affected, saving most of the most vulnerable. There will be a decline in carriers after that, as the virus is slowly destroyed by their immune systems, and a month after that it will be hard to find a "carrier", and new cases will go to near zero.

just please shut the **** up. Tia.

Luckily I'm off today, tomorrow, and Tuesday so I'm hoping I will be recovered by the time I go back to work.

If you actually had/have COVID 19 the CDC wants you to quarantine yourself for 14 days.

The fact that no one with a job is going to do that because no employer is going to actually enable you to do that by paying you without having to use your time off tells me that this thing is going to run its course. It's not going to be contained, not even a little bit.

This isn't on Trump. There's nothing he could have done. I mean he's incompetent in general, and he's not handling this well. But even if he had handled it well it would have had minimal effect. The "American work ethic" would never have allowed us to contain this effectively.

I agree 100%

In all seriousness fish, get good sleep, hydrate like crazy, take some vitamins (elderberry, zinc, etc.), eat well, and hold off on alcohol.

Every one of my children has had flu a over the last few weeks. I think my wife maybe got it (her temp went up to 100.0) but fought it off. I’d been taking vitamins fairly regularly (b complex with calcium and zinc, potassium, magnesium, iron, elderberry, and drinking 80+ ounces of water a day and started to feel like crap but never got a fever and seem to have avoided it.

In Turkey, most hand sanitizers don't have enough alcohol to kill viruses. Is it the same in USA? No sense in using it against coronavirus then. Alcolohic rubs works are better and they are great at getting viruses away since they are volatile.

It depends on the length of exposure. You need to have it on your hands for about a minute.

Soap and water is WAY better than hand sanitizer in every conceivable way. Always has been, always will be.

My understanding is that this virus has a protein shell that makes it harder for soap to kill. For bacteria and most viruses, I believe you are correct.

Thanks for the advice. I will try to follow most of that

The only way to guard against this is to shut the country down for 2 - 3 weeks. Close schools, businesses, cancel travel, cancel events. Reduce public transportation to a minimum for emergencies. Call it a national holiday.

The problem continues to be that people are asymptomatic and are spreading the virus for 1 - 3 weeks before they know they have it. Tests are only being given to people with clear symptoms and other "risk factors" such as travel to infected areas or contact with another known case, but that won't work. So you either shut the country down like it's Christmas or you let it go and take it in the shorts.

Under these conditions, everything from going to the grocery store, to buying coffee at Starbucks, to going to work, or riding in an elevator, etc. puts a person at risk of exposure.

What's taking place now isn't solving anything, it's just documenting a small part of the problem reactively.

CDC and everything else I've read says hand washing is better, for covid 19 and everything else. Washing has an virus killing effect somewhat but the goal is to remove that **** from your skin, not kill it. Sanitizer tries to kill it but it doesn't kill anything close to what washing physically removers.
