Coronavirus

I actually read something (don't remember where or have any idea if it's factual) that said that kids under a certain age seem to be immune to it. Like there are no cases of kids under this age (I think it was under 15 but can't remember) get the virus.

Take that with a grain of salt though cause I have no idea where I read that.

last I had read there were no confirmed cases of children under 9, so that it something to keep an eye on for sure. Doesn’t necessarily mean they are immune, perhaps just experience more mild symptoms, therefore not prompting a dr visit/diagnosis.

I wasn’t criticizing you or questioning it. I just found it funny because I’d seen that yesterday.

I actually saw the same comment again today in a different article lol.
Maybe its a bot

Yeah, I’m starting to think this is much ado about nothing. I guess a huge part of the scare though is not knowing exactly how it can be transmitted and how long it incubates amongst other things.

Agreed. The scariest thing about the corona virus to me isnt what it does but what it might do. Its the unknown about it. If it keeps doing what its currently doing and then fades away when the cold and flu season fades away then its not a big deal. But we just dont know enough about it to predict what will happen.

Not too worried about any virus but I do think this will cause a global recession till the fall or longer. I manage some investments (not mine) and I took a total speculative buy in this israeli company working on a vaccine already: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VXLLF?

I'm long precious metal equities and short the general market. And way more in Cash than normal anticipating lower prices in mining stocks. This same strategy did amazing well in 2008/2009.

New reports are popping up of patients now confirmed to have the virus. It seems the virus has been incubating during the past 1-2 weeks in the U.S., and now the symptoms are starting to appear.

It appears that there is a cluster of patients in the Seattle area.

The San Francisco Bay Area is reporting multiple confirmed cases.

Florida is reporting multiple cases.

Rhode Island reportedly has a confirmed case.

It also appears that the CDC testing process is clunky and sometimes requires multiple attempts--e.g., someone tests negative, gets released, then tests positive.

Is this a joke? Yeah, taking a sea cruise isn't a good idea rn.
Good thing it isn't right now. It's a few months from now.
If you think I'm going to just not go and miss out on all the fun and lose out on thousands of dollars then you are a fool.

I have friends that just got home from a cruise yesterday. (It's actually the same cruise I will be going on). They had a great time.

Besides, Trump told me this is a fake news hoax perpetrated by "The Dems."

Then there's this https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnn.com/travel/amp/cruise-safety-coronavirus/index.html

And finally, I'm personally just not that afraid of this virus.

30 million people are expected to go on cruises this year. Good idea or not, as of now it's happening and happening a lot.

Rhode Island reportedly has a confirmed case.

As of this morning, 3 cases, all connected to a recent high school class trip to Italy. School in question closed for at least this week.

As of this morning, cases in 12 states...
