The mortality rate is concerning. But the mortality rate outside wuhan is very very low. Outside of China is almost none. I don't think other countries are lying about their numbers as well, but maybe. No country likes to look bad. It also might be anecdotal but it seems odd that I know about 10 people directly or family member of someone I know that for the virus and all of them healed on their own just fine except one. The one was in the hospital but was given the aids medicine that's been shown to cut the virus heal time from 2 weeks to a couple days. That medicine is expensive but there is plenty of it available.

That's a bold strategy Cotton!I know it is hypothetical and probably would be considered non-ethical-sportsmanlike behaviour even by Trump and other tough politicians, but isn't the easy method to verify the seriousness of the virus, if the all big countries (USA, UK, Japan, France, Germany etc) would recognize the independence of Taiwan, invited to UN and WHO etc (i would like to insert the emoticon of Mr Burns from the Simpsons here
I think it will slow down now that they have the new hospitals open. Deaths aren't occurring very often outside of wuhan. There are way too many cases and not enough staff and rooms in wuhan. The rest of China and the world are having no problem treating the few cases. But if it keeps growing in wuhan and they don't send more help then those numbers might keep jumping up there. Thankfully that city is on complete lock down so I don't think it will rapidly spread.
