Look, I'm not trying to spring a gotcha on you. Ace is probably a little bit of a dummy in this process. And part of the evidence of his dummy-ness is that he appears to have bought into Washington as a good spot for him over a place like Utah. That makes very little sense, so he appears to have swallowed whatever nonsense Omar was feeding him.

It protects the player. If I understand it correctly, the NFL has agents who have the academic and licensing credentials to legally be able to represent someone. Why would you want some wannabe like this ******* representing your young talent? It’s bad for the kid and ultimately bad for the league.

The most ironic thing of this all is if Omar Cooper wasn’t involved with Ace Bailey he likely wouldn’t have fell to 5 and the Utah Jazz wouldn’t have been able to draft him.

This is my favorite part of it. If a kid weren’t getting preyed upon I wouldn’t feel guilty for finding the entire thing hilarious.

I have no idea. I'm sure they would question his presence on social media. But I don't really know what this has to do with the post of mine that you quoted. But, overall, I think we see things here pretty equally.

They wouldn't but it was more rhetorical in a way lol. Omar was interested in his business and it was a sole proprietorship not a partnership with Ace.

I'll just say this... knowing more about who has been guiding Ace and knowing who now will be helping him (coaching and infrastructure)... I have never been more bullish on the young man.

I honestly am not sure I'm disagreeing with you. I'm trying to point you to the root of where this fiasco started and it has nothing to do with me upset we weren't the target. This whole fiasco is about what Omar wanted and why he wanted it... but you don't care about that. This is a unique relationship with unique motivations that are the driving force behind this thing.

The front office did the right thing if they had Ace top of their board. I have never stated otherwise. They also have strong enough leadership squash this.

Yeah, I don’t think we are disagreeing. I’m on board with what you’re saying about Omar. It’s just not what my initial post was about or what I’ve been speaking to. You seem to be focused on “the truth” about Omar, why he didn’t want to get to Utah, and how the fiasco unfolded. I follow what you’re saying and trying to point me to. What you’re insinuating is obvious and even my dense brain can understand it. I’m not missing what you’re putting out there.

I’m just trying to make it clear that my focus has been on the decision from the Jazz perspective and the decision to draft Ace or not. I don’t want to come off as an Omar defender, but rather a FO defender in their choice to take the guy on top of their board. I don’t think the Jazz should cave in any situation where a player tries to get drafted elsewhere. That’s true whether or not the Jazz are actually a good situation, the intentions/motivations behind the preferred destination, and the tactics (public or private) deployed to get the player to the preferred destination.

If anything, the poor situation/guidance makes me higher on Ace the individual.

I hope you let Tony/Andy know. The predatory **** is a real problem and this is public enough now that maybe it can get aggregated and start a conversation. There’s clear violations here if your information is correct.

The tenor of the messaging coming out right now with the media blitz leads me to believe Omar saw the writing on the wall and is now riding co-pilot/backseat. It would be great if we got news in a few weeks that he was all the way out. Got a feeling he will be able to hang around though.

If what you’ve heard is accurate, that seems like a major news story. Like ESPN/Ringer major. Really recommend funneling the sources to TJ or Andy or getting their help to get it to the right people if it’s too hot for them.
