Cousins demands a trade!

When Cousins was drafted, he was drafted at 5 because of the chance he would cause problems on the team. He has been on the team for one year, and there are problems big enough to get rid of him. That right there is the reason you don't even look at him. He has good skills and some large flaws to his game, but should come nowhere near this team. One year in the NBA; one year!

I don't know how, but I got this feeling that somehow he ends up a Laker and an All-Star.

I am afraid you could be right. Pau Gasol trade part 2. You know one thing, if he were to land on the Lakers then he would have that big brother/ even somewhat father figure or mentor in Kobe. Hate to say it, but Kobe is that kind of player and leader.

If I were KOC. I would make a move to get Cousins. As some said there is a risk. But if you can build a trade around Al and any of Harris, CJ, Bell, or Watson. Then do it. This team is not winning anyway. What harm could it do. Save tons of money and get a potentially great player.

I would not trade any of our younger players except maybe Evans. He is even less likely to ever play if we get Cousins anyway.

I would also consider a trade involving Millsap. But would rather it center around Jefferson.

At the risk of being called a homer even more .. Cousins and Kanter were the two most dominant rebounders I have seen, on the college level for a very long time. #1 and #1a.

Do you think anyone on this team currently could play that big brother role for Cousins?

In loud exchange with Paul Westphal on Saturday after NY loss, some Kings heard DeMarcus Cousins yelling, "Trade me now," sources tell Y!

Imagine him yelling that every time we lose this season. Can the Jazz org. stand that? Can we Jazz fan stand that?

No & No.

1. Trade for him to simply dump salary.
2. Obtain him to flip him.

Agreed! It's so easy to mix and match players like it's fantasy league. It's interesting that the Nuggets are a better team without Melo even with three players in China. There's so much more to the team than talent. We have an inexperienced head coach, who would have to babysit. It's not worth the headache unless it's a stepping stone to another trade or something that KOC can see. I would trade Bell though since Cousins could stay at home if he was a problem, but Bell will be starting for quite some time apparently.

Cousins is 4th in RP48 and Kanter is 9th, so it seems accurate.

Some of the comments in this thread remind me of Jazzfanz comments on both Howard and Tinsley.

Those guys, BTW, are both on the team now, and don't have the potential bigtime payoff that Cousins has. Let alone if you consider dumping Al's contract at the same time.

This is the first deal I've seen where I think KOC would have to seriously consider giving up the GS pick to get it done.
