Losing that NO game was our playoff hopes going up in flames pretty much. Even if we win in Memphis, we still lost that Hornets game we should have won. Not that I am angry. I think it is in our best interest to keep our pick.

I think Locke is one of the better radio hosts around (I often disagree w/his opinions but he does put alot of time and work into his research and really stays up on what is happening around the league) but that doesn't translate into being a competent play-by-play announcer where in my opinion he's dreadful and breaks Rule #1 which is not to annoy a large chunk of your audience.
He can't hold Hot Rod's jock but who can? Locke is what he is...if you like what he brings - cool...if you don't - then stop listening to him when he's on.

We lost the playoffs when we lost to Minny, lost to Sacramento (at home), and lost to NO (TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

If just our corpses show up to those games, we win by 20+.

Instead... We somehow (mystery of the universe) SOMEHOW found ways to crap games away against those abortions. Unbelievable.

My issue with Locke is that he tries too hard to be clever, fitting in Elvis song titles, etc., rather than calling the game. When I am in the car, listening to a game, it's hard to decipher what his groans and grunts sometimes mean, as he often forgets to verbalize what just happened. He also can go a long time without letting the listener know the score, which is a huge no-no in my book.

This. Locke tries way too hard to be cool and catchy. It's awkward and unnatural.

Also, he doesn't have the pipes for a play by play guy. There's no getting around that. He's smart, and he knows his stuff, but he's not blessed with the pipes.

Third and last, he breathes way too hard on the phone in radio interviews. Probably because he's acting like he's so damn cool.

I see what you're saying and any loss hurts the playoff chances but if you pick a win up against a team (like the Grizz) that people would count as a loss it does "make up" in the overall prediction of the Jazz playoff chances.

Jazz should've won the game yes but that same NOH team beat the Grizz after we played them also has beat SAS (and few other playoff teams at home but I'd have to look them up) so they can catch teams now and then.
So yes those losses sting a lot more as they are should've won on paper games but ever team has a few losses to non playoff teams. I had one other thing but I forget cause I suck.

I like the guy. He reminds me of me watching the games and I finally have an explanation for myself. I'm not well (Mostly because everytime the other team needs a bleeping 3 they somehow make it) and I do care way to much.
