Dallas trading Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis! Utah involved.

Ant is absolutely a top 10 guy this year. On top of production he is basically indestructible.
 
Ant has really taken off since the beginning of the new year, but he didn't get off to the greatest start and was part of that disappointing start for the TWolves. I don't really care to make a top 10 list to know if he's on it (FWIW he's not close by all the metrics), but I have to say that people are so quick to anoint Ant. They were literally calling him MJ last year and when he struggled against DAL you don't hear a peep about it. He is an incredible player but also one who can do no wrong. I don't think MIN should have traded him for Luka given the contract situation, however. If DAL was to trade Luka, Ant would have been near the top of my list for sure.

Cuz he's not. SGA, Joker, Luka, Giannis, Tatum, Halibuton, AD, DM, Cade, Wemby... All have bigger impact on the game than Ant. NBA game is much bigger than just one on one plays. Ant doing pull up 3s is cool and all but that's not enough to win you championships.

No team has won a championship with their best player being only a 1on1 specialist since maybe Kobe. One can argue maybe KD but he's won nothing in his career without a supporting cast of Steph/Draymond/Klay. You need to be a two-way player/team facilitator to win it all in today's game.

Some of those name have an argument for being better than Ant, but you throw away any kind of good faith argument/credibilty if you bring up Cade/Haliburton being better than Anthony Edwards.

I'm all for advanced stats and what not, but let's not lose the plot. Edwards is an absolute monster.
