Dante Exum Averages .2 Steals Per Game

Ingles probably makes him do his laundry, so he will get some practice.

For a player being in the league as long as he has, he definitely is underachieving. He still looks lost, has more bad games than good ones. Regardless of him being hurt, having a few flashes of brilliance, I think he will never eventually figure it out and is a bust. We can keep making excuses for him and continue to believe but he just doesn't have it. The truth of the matter is we waisted a lottery pick on him and he has underperformed. We would be a much better team now had we drafted someone else. Quin has had enough and I think we should trade him. I cringe at seeing how lost and timid he still looks out there. Call me a hater but I think he sucks and we made a mistake drafting him. We should have went with a more proven player with a more established skill set, oh well we have to just move forward now and trade him.

what a stupid thread from
a Dante hater.
huh?

He says that Dante has a good plus/minus 'when he looks'. I pointed out that he has a bad plus/minus and here's the numbers. He insists that, nah when he looks Dante has a good plus/minus. At this point i'm just gonna let it go because it's not like the guy is gonna change his mind. But i can't for the life of me see how what i said was stupid.

To me, he is Burks 4 years ago. Not trusted but has potential. We owe it to him and ourselves to play him a good bit before January 15. It should be sink or swim. Show us something or ship him out. We don't need to do to him what we did to Burks. We dont need him to soak up $10 a year if Quin doesn't trust him.

I haven't lost faith in the kid, by I will lose faith in the front office if they don't try move him if Quin doesn't try to play him.

And I explained to you he had 2 bad games in blowouts that makes it look worse than it is. Get it

Exum has never been as good as Burks though.

Exactly, play or trade. Anything else is stupid.

And just what do you think his value is, at his salary, around the league?
It's negative! If he were on his rookie deal, yeah, maybe a team would take a flier on him because he was a high pick who had some potential. But now, what team is going to take on his deal? It's likely Lindsey would need to entice a team to take Exum by throwing in a pick. Unless the Jazz need cap room to sign a top tier FA, why would Lindsey do that?

It certainly looks like a mistake to have given him so much money. But he was very promising before the latest injury. We saw flashes during Summer League of a fast, even confident Dante. He and Donovan looked like world beaters. The injury made it very hard to evaluate his value. What team would want to pay a 3rd-string PG or backup SG who can't shoot - whatever the position Dante is - the kind of money he's making? Exum is pretty much untradeable without giving up an additional asset to dump his salary.
