Dante Exum game footage

So easy I'm not even sure we can call it a sport.

Riiiiiggggghhhhhtttt.

It's all been an act leading to this "gotcha" moment.

Now you will blow me away with your wisdom, knowledge, and general non-zoobness.

This is from the FIBA U17 Oceania Tournament, I just posted footage of a game vs Egypt on the first page.

THE TITLE ON THIS VIDEO IS INCORRECT - this is the U17 tournament... videos published in 2012.

#NoMediocrity

I see from an earlier thread on the Australia vs Spain game months back, you said you wouldn't take Exum in the 1st round.

Have you warmed on Dante since then?

I was thinking of bumping that thread but i decided to make this one instead.

I support everything in that statement other than the first thing in brackets. Playing on a bad ankle against Smart isn't fun.

I think you can't look at boxscores. But if you look at particular parts and single out iterations where they happened and see certain things, then there is a possibility that either these skills will translate or the problems will persist if not worked upon.

Especially when your team is down by 40... I laughed when DX put together a video of that game. They also looked to be pressing all game... bad ankle + press + down by 100 = screw it I'm not going to fight this guy to get open.

Smart may end up being a terrific defender, but I struggle to see upside beyond a Kyle Lowry type. Kyle also learned to shoot... not sure Marcus will.

I'm in wait and see mode (for now, I was very, very wrong about his lateral speed) but that post had nothing to do with what I think of Dante. I wanted DL to swing for the fences and either succeed very strongly or fail very badly. I want no part of being stuck in the middle for the next 5 years.

I was initially pissed about the pick but quickly changed to Kudos, this is exactly what we need.

I think Smart will be way better defensively. He's more Payton'ish. Real nasty in your face. But modern type nasty by just staying in front of you, challenging every shot.

Not sure they'd let Gary play that way with the rules being what they are with hand checking and such, but understand your point. GP was special not many point guards can intimidate with defense.

I think he'll be closer to Beverly, Lowry (he's a bulldog), than GP. I think he'll be good, but Dante has more upside which is something I think we needed at this point.

Of course the rules have changed. You can't get away any longer with bad defense as you're not allowed to foul. But the result is the same. He'll affect opponents shooting percentages and chase them off their sweet spots.

I'm also in favor of Dante Exum. Think he's got homerun potential. Real perennial allstar potential.

It looks like thats all the Full game footage I can find, +Rep for anyone who can track down Full games of the U19 Tournament in Prague. I know I saw a few of those games at somepoint, they appear to be removed from Youtube.

Soon I'll start posting Highlight packages from games not already shown.

Nope, just one simple post with obvious sarcasm that you were too slow to pick up. But thanks for biting, although it's almost so easy, it's not even fun.

There's no need to post that full game (I cant find it anyway) he only played 11 minutes and turned his ankle.

Heres all of Exum's plays from Australia vs Serbia, last year at the U19 tournament in Prague.

21 points, 7/19 fg's, 3/7 from 3, 4/10 ft's, 4 asts, 4 rebs, 2 to's, 2 stls.

After watching two full games posted in this thread, I'm still not sure what to think. There is a lot of good, but some concerns as well. Just so hard to judge a kid playing against kids. Can't wait for summer league.
