What's new

Dante Exum will win the Rookie of the Year.

I never said that, ever. find a quote, thats probably why your confused, because your fabricating ******** in your posts.
Literally you did not. You said you didn't see how it was all that much different. I was simply disagreeing and insinuated that a lot of people think it's pretty different and other people might even be insulted by your thinking there's no discernable difference.

Then you picked on people for picking on you in the most ironic post of all the times, and followed that up with another glimpse into the life of the honorable swimming wolf, point god Alec Burks.

I apologize to the JFC for panty bunching and will no longer be responding to this dude.

Quite frankly I dont give a **** about what you guys think of my fanhood... Its not something Id ever think to talk about or bring up. Its laughable to me. Cheers.

I watch all the games, SL included, screaming at the TV, you think i give a **** about your thoughts on my status as a fan? LOL.

The only reason I said I was leaving If Gordon was drafted, is because it was the truth. I wouldnt hang around like AKMVP and give negs. I didnt intend for that post to be a point of discussion it was just an explanation on why my posts will stop and they would have.

Now its also a fact that im a huge basketball fan in general, i stay up to date on basketball topics on a Highschool, College, International and NBA level on a daily basis. Ill definitely admit to being a bigger basketball fan than a Jazz fan, no doubt about it. I like College basketball almost as much as the NBA though too, Im sure if i lived in Russia id enjoy the super league though, Im not all that picky.

From this post alone I can tell that you do care. A lot. If it didn't bother you, you wouldn't be trying to convince us though it sounds more like you're trying to convince yourself. Usually when someone "humble brags," they do it because they want attention or acceptance.

The thing is, as ive said since getgo on this site. I'm a gambler, my allegiance is to performance, anything else is a distant second. As ive said many times over, I bet on almost EVERY nba game, so that means when the Jazz have a bad matchup and aren't getting enough points, I bet against them.

Im not trying to convince anyone of anything, i wouldnt think to ask because, who are you to judge me anyway? Im not here to cast aspersions, I'm doing field work on the psychology of Jazz Fans, and how the betting lines are affected.

I pay attention to every game around the association, on a nightly basis, for several seasons running, many of my good friends do the same, some for a living.

The Jazz are by far my favorite team because I dont 'root' for any other team. I dont think of things on some sort of imaginary "whos the biggest fan" scale, that type of reasoning eludes me.

I called the Trey Burke odds that last year. Time shall tell. (I had Oladipo last year)

It's nothing more than a prop bet, I dont take it seriously. I always like to speculate on the Rookie of the Year, I've won it a few times in the past, Exum would be the best odds ive pulled off but, oh well.

I haven't ruled out betting on Parker also.. I just wanted this thread to be about Exum's RoY chances

Once i bet on the Devil Rays to win the world series preseason at 250:1 in '08 on the strength of their pitching and they got to the world series on like a 20million dollar budget, they didn't win but it was still one of my favorite bets ever. If Exum is close to the RoY and loses by a smaller margin ill take solace with that.

AG @ 15:1 is a better bet than Exum 10:1. Gordon will probably get more minutes and it will be against inferior competition. If Exum was drafted by Orlando I'd like this bet but he wasn't. I also do think there is a bias working against Utah players. Exum would have to really really blow up to win Roy.

Explanation not necessary. It's a bad *** bet fo' sho'.

While we are getting at you with a bunch of old stuff -- my wife was asking this morning what that mhz sleep tone was that you recommended about 2 years ago. Can you remember it?

You need a ton of minutes to win ROY. Minutes and a green light. Parker is going to have both. Exum may have neither. Poor bet if you ask me. Besides, you are betting on your home team player, gonna be hard to be objective doing that.

But, if you enjoy throwing 50 bucks away supporting Exum, that's fine with me.

Injuries happen. I think it's a pretty good bet if you have disposable cash.

I don't know about ROY, but the kid seems mature and ready to get to work, and I think he'll surprise people. I do hope he sees good minutes so that he can learn quickly. My gut tells me that Snyder is NOT going to pull a Corbin on us in not letting the young guys play. I think they'll play, but time will tell.

I'm sure he will choose veterans at some point over young guys and we will be mad. I think he will be more creative with his lineups though to get the key guys playing time.

This is the one i posted IIRC.

Odds shmodds, I never expected Henry Rowlengartner to be rookie of the year especially after breaking his arm.

Henry Rowengartner throws out the first pitch to a Cubs game, the same day as Dante's debut... Coincidence? I think not.

I hope when Dante struggles in his first season, people don't go crazy.

Also, if he doesn't struggle a lot of things standing in his way:

Strong competition. Jabari is going to be thrown out there by the Bucks with a green light, Dante will be sharing the pg spot with Burke and probably coming off the bench, at least at the start of the season.

And in order for Exum to beat out the higher-profile rookies in the Utah market, he'd have to not just be the best rookie, but have a huge season, so much so that the NBA couldn't deny it.

I hope it happens though.
