What's new

Dante on The Jim Rome Show

What do you mean he can't be bought?

Is that where we are at as a country? Now dollars don't mean anything, people are so confused that they are assigning arbitrary "values" to random concepts like quality of life and family? What's next? Loyalty? Friendship?

No wonder America is failing. People behaving like they're living in an episode of Full House, when they are actually living in an episode of Storage Wars, where all the glory goes to the highest bidder.

I got news for you Chip, Popovich is no Danny Tanner. And there won't be any melodramatic music or dubbed in audience applause when you sit on the edge of your bed and say,"I'm making a choice for friends and family, because in the end that's all that really matters."

So man up and sell out, like your other Spurs compadres. It's the American way.

OK, I'll be the first one to come forward and admit I can be bought. Make your best offer.

The funny thing is that I'm arguing that coaches often will take the better job or pay when available. . . while I've turned down a couple of really good job opportunities to stay where I am to teach and coach my kids through high school.

I'm a damn hypocrite. I just really, really, really want Chip Engelland to come to Utah. If I'm the Millers (which obviously, I'm not) I'd do everything I can to make him an offer that he can't refuse.

Can anyone help? Did Chip England ever work for the jazz? I thought I read that he worked as a scout for the Jazz for one season years before making it big as a Shooting Coach. But I couldn't find confirmation. Anyone?

Pistons, Nuggets and Spurs. But his time in San Antonio coincided with Quin Snyder's brief stay and while DL was there as well. Both guys should know him well enough to be able to at least pitch Utah to him if he ever leaves the Spurs.

Interesting... my worse than Hitler list.

In no particular order.

PK
David Locke
Kobe
Fisher
and moving up on my list is Monty from 1320. F*^&% annoying.
Not a bad list. I'm not nearly as annoyed by Locke as most (except for the play by play version of him). Others I'd add to this list are Boozer, Marc Jackson and maybe Gordon Monson.

Does anybody else ever get the impression that Monty's whole goal in life is to be as young and hip as Gunther? He will never achieve it. He tries to be cool and comes off as such a buffoon. But for me, PK is definitely the worst of all. I don't even listen to morning sports radio anymore because of him, and I think DJ is great.

I agree with Marc Jackson but Boozer is more of a buffoon and does not earn a place on the list. PK would have to top my list as well, Locke is a whiny, voice cracking shill for management AND he is a huge name dropper. I feel embarrassed when he acts like he is super tight with the players when he interviews them. Yeah Monty he is just wretched...

Teams HAVE made offers. Kerr wanted him desperately. He doesn't want to leave SA. People don't always go the highest bidder.

Get Spurs' coaches, Suns' medical staff and Cavs' lottery balls. And build a dynasty for ages!
