I am. No Cody/Taylor and no Edey. Grizz have beaten bad teams at home but a lot of that was with Edey present.

However you want to phrase it. Utah is probably going to lose.

We got some very deluded fans who somehow thinks Utah has this good team that can't possibly lose if we don't sit everyone.

Memphis wins cuz of their rotations. They are the team in the NBA most equipped to handle injuries (outside of OKC just being incredible whoever they play).

Utah might win the starter minutes, but Memphis will absolutely wipe the floor with our 2nd rotation players and will finish us off in the 4th easily

Only wrinkle that makes this game somewhat unpredictable is Ja's return and how melodramatic he has been with the coach.

Well that gives me some hope then. Not that he's been amazing this year. I saw him questionable still on espn.

I think it gives me less certainty the Jazz will lose. Morant has been awful this season and has actively sabotaged the team in multiple games.

I think they may have sorted out some of their beef. I think it's a positive unless he's still pouting. It may not matter against our porous defense but without Ja and Edey I think they will have issues creating much offense. Edey isn't a creator but his screens and gravity can help a lot.

Anyone can score against Nurkic and Love at the 5.

The Jazz's defensive identity is giving up a lot of above the break 3s in favor of cutting off corner 3a and keeping guys out of the paint. Having Ja out there actually makes that defensive strategy work if hes taking those shots.

Jaren is also less injury prone than I thought. The previous 4 seasons he average 70 games a year, and he's played 22 of 24 this year.

Out of all the realistic "big game hunting" guys we could target, I think he's the best.

If he stinks the rest of the season, it might be like trading for Lauri just before this season. I don't know how you'd plan to fill out the rest of the roster, but if he's truly gettable and MEM wants to start over I think you get him and think about the rest later. Way better than the Zion, Lamelo, Trae, etc. kind of trades even if he costs a lot more.

As a Finnish guy, this is one of the most interesting NBA games of my lifetime. Finnish HC against Lauri's team. Add in Ja returning to Grizz in this exact game. Must not sleep game easily.
