Dennis Lindsey: "The concern on Derek Favors and Enes Kanter playing together is non-sense"

Although his harsh undressing of Kanter during the exit process seemed contrary to what Lindsey then said.

Yes you might have a point there. But I always found KOC's Jazz great at outwitting the people and the media with clever tactics.

I think DL can even be better at this, or he is the most honest mf ever to run this team.

I genuinely think the best way to outwit the media would be to be straight up and honest, because they would always think you are just putting on a show for the press. This is the sports world we live in.

Back to the topic at hand. I am 50/50 on the subject. I believe they can play together. But it takes 2 things first. Time, and both players staying focused. The issue with the playing time at the beginning of the year was Kanter was so timid. And lost his confidence. People bagged on Corbin all year for sitting Kanter when he was playing poorly, or he was the reason for him playing poorly. But the truth is, he wasn't Kanter. He was timid on rebounds, defense and even at times on offense. And all of that was due to his injury, and justifiably so. But I honestly think "benching" him made him better. He was able to come back slower against the other teams bench. And at the end of the season we saw again what he can be when healthy.

I also believe Favors has to stay focused. He has a tendency to not get up for small teams, or "easy games". All players go through this same issue. Play hard against top teams, but then take mental nights off against bad ones. This shows against nights like the ones against San Antonio, and Indiana. When he realizes how to fight that mental part of it. Watch out!

These two actually are meant to play together. If you can keep Kanter on the outside and occasionally post up, and Favors on the PnR and occasionally post up, it will be a Boozer & Memo combo all over again. Yet younger and with a better defense.... We got to the Western Finals with Booz and Memo. Imagine what could have happened if they played defense as well as Favors & Kanter...

Best news of the day.

Also did anyone else notice when Locke asked him about Kanter's 3 point shots he said......."That is between him and....(pause) his work ethic.

Obviously didn't want to say Corbin or Coach. Because that would be spilling the beans too early. DL IS THE MAN!

This.

Most people are too hard on Locke. He's not perfect, but I think any Jazz fan should be able to appreciate him.

Locke is a biased reporter. He loves Hayward and constantly interprets the stats to make him look better. Locke is down on Kanter, and was on Burks. Burks season was undeniable, so he finally switched his tune. He however is still nastier and harder on Kanter than any other player. The reason I take issue with Locke is because his opinions carry a lot of weight in Jazz fandom. If he was unbiased, he would be great, but he is not.

Locke always says he does tip off and postcast for us, but he doesn't. He does it because he wants that podium and because it helps his brand. If he is going to assume that mantle and power, he should go at all of our players with the same ferocity that he attacks Kanter (and how he used to attack Burks).

He could confront Hayward to his face on lying about not thinking about his contract, or tear into his response of "it's a business" when asked if he wants to stay here. He would do that if he was/is truly a fair reporter.

He speaks more freely in his tip-off, but he only attacks certain players in interviews, which is a coward's move.
