Derek Fisher to coach the Knicks

hahaha, what a loser franchise. Fisher coaching Anthony, Stoudemire and Bargnani is going to be fun...
 
I think the NBA collectively pooled money to pay Fisher as a thank you for letting them **** the players over in the latest CBA.

he could've coached anywhere doe. just look at him. he is a coach material.
and wherever he ends up it probably would've been a better situation than knicks. just imagine when things go wrong. it can get nasty in NY. and when things get really bad fans will scream for phil jackson to coach the team.

i don't know. i just think knicks have too many holes and bad contracts.
 
I just do not get the trend of giving a completely unproven coach the reigns. No coaching experience at all...if you want them that bad make them an assistant and test them out first.

Obviosuly they must see something I do not...same for Kidd and the Nets.
 
well J kidd did pretty good job considering how awful he looked first couple of months.

phil wants a young guy he can groom. he wants his protege. get that triangle going again in this league. i get that.

but from a young coach perspective, this current knicks is not a good situation. i mean just look at that roster. it's a mess especially if melo leaves.
