Deron Williams speaks out about Utah's off-season

He probably liked having a talented running mate, but Booz must have pissed Williams off somewhat. Williams is a warrior, where as Boozer would miss two months with a hangnail.

He's not happy, who would be? He wants to win championships. But I think even Deron realizes how crazy this circus has come. Not very many teams have "greatly" improved this offseason. One team horded the big names while a few others spend gazillians of dollars to only mildly improve (or stay the same in the example of Atlanta).

The NBA is headed towards a lockout.

Looks like Deron is actually not happy and frustrated, eh Hopper? Not just some around here, as you mistakenly thought.

Borat, this is the 3rd or 4th comment you directed at me in this thread. Again, I ask you: Do you find it necessary to rewrite or reword everything you read or hear so as to conform to your preconceptions or be consistent with your personal preferences?

I said Deron doesn't sound "panicky" like some around here, and he doesn't. He says he gunna be patient and see what happens. He doesn't expect all Jazz issues to be solved in a matter of one week--only a damn fool would. I said he doesn't sound "unhappy." I didn't say "he sounds 100% satifisfied." I don't think he is 100% satisfied, but, then again, I never said he wasn't. He give no indication that he blames management for the fact that Korver and Boozer left, but he's not stupid enough to think their departure doesn't create issues to address.

Fortunately, Deron isn't acting like a four-year old mongoloid idiot who is hungry and up way past his bedtime, screamin inarticulately about what he wants RIGHT NOW!!

Utter poppycock, Hopper. You posted this whole thread as a proof that Deron is "far from unhappy." You said that much in your original post. "Far from unhappy", remember? Now you have been shown entire article titled "Deron admits he is not happy", which is proof of exact opposite of your original statement that Deron is "far from unhappy". You were way off, proven wrong, yet still scream how you are right. That idiot four-year old analogy sure applies here, just not where you intended it.

Straight back at it, eh, Borat? The "headline" aint what Deron done said. It only says he aint "happy" that Boozer and Korver are gone. Is he supposed to be?

"It was tough to see Booz (Carlos Boozer) and Kyle (Korver) go," Williams said. "But they made business decisions and you have to live with them." On a personal level, bidding farewell to Korver was especially difficult for the Jazz star. Williams and the 3-point specialist became pretty tight friends off the court since the shooting guard was traded to the Jazz 2 1/2 years ago. "Yeah, it was tough," Williams admitted. "But I had a feeling after the season was over we'd have a tough time re-signing (Korver) and Wes (Matthews)."

"Any time you lose two guys like that you're going to be frustrated," said Williams while hosting his Point of Hope foundation's event at Thanksgiving Point to benefit Shriners Hospitals. "But ... it's a business, and that's the way it went." Williams sent texts to both Boozer and Korver after finding out they were Chicago-bound and said he's "happy for both of those guys."

Williams does believe the Jazz are still in need of "some depth in the frontcourt," especially because they're not sure how or when Mehmet Okur's surgically repaired Achilles heel will heal. But he likes Utah's nucleus. "We still have a solid team, you know," Williams said. "We do have a good team," he added. "We have some guys that I think can step up. I think Paul (Millsap) can come in and contribute. I think it's a good opportunity for him to show people what he can really do given the opportunity, given the minutes."

For now, [Williams] said he's "just being patient" as general manager Kevin O'Connor works on filling in the missing holes and resolves the understaffed roster situation.

About maybe not playin for the Olympic team: "As for his other real team — the U.S. men's national squad — Williams still isn't 100 percent committed to whether he's going to play in the FIBA World Championships later this summer in Turkey. "Health," Williams said, is a big concern."

I said I thought that Deron didn't "look, act, or sound" unhappy in that video. Everyone here can watch the vid and decides for they own damn self how they think Deron "looks, acts, and sounds" in it, Borat. They don't need you to tell them what to think about it, ya know?

Ahh, no, that's the whole point, ain't it?

To you, I'm sure it is. The ONLY point of anything the Jazz did, or do, is that BOTH Korver and Boozer MUST have been resigned, at any cost, in your book, I guess. Deron says he knew better, and didn't expect that.

In the video, he clearly says: "We lost two guys to free agency, that happens. But, ya know, we have a chance to pick up some guys."

Borat, you've got HopHack pegged right on the money. Glad you're calling him out. There's a reason he was banned from the previous board....a very good reason.

There ya, go, Borat. Vinny is here to give you high fives for your hate. Mebbe the two of you can git a room together and reassure each about other how right you are and how wrong anyone who doesn't buy into your garbage is, eh!?

Let's face it, who in Jazzland is happy when the FO is giving away the farm for nuthin. No one is, not even Ain't. But I'm willing to wait and see how it all plays out. I, for one, hope that they match Matthews. I think he's going to be a key contributor for years to come and will be worth every penny.
