DL and Quin Snyder Rift

Sounds like DL went rogue on his scouting staff as well... he was basically on an island with Udoka and said "**** yall Imma do me!"
Dude he’s a professional. Professionals done make mistakes. They possess magic abilities that allow them to see into the ultraviolet and infrared parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and see what others can’t see.

Coaches play the guys who will win them games. Their jobs depend on it. GMs want the players they've scouted and signed to play. I'm guessing this dynamic is very common. It sounds like this relationship went beyond that, when they weren't talking directly to each other for two years. Too bad this didn't blow up a year earlier.

The GM/coach dynamic is interesting and probably why high profile coaches want GM power as well. Also interesting that coaches rarely do a good job at both jobs.

I honestly didn't put much stock into the rumors that Quin and DL didn't get along but it looks like there turned out to be a lot of truth to it. Great reporting from Andy and Eric.
My spidey senses tingled when the Mike Conley benching/unbenching happened. It was clear as ****ing day that DL came down and told Quin he wasn't benching Mike... Let Quin handle all the questions after and was nowhere to be found per usual.

It's still kind of weird to me that Quin really likes Clarkson despite hating Burks.

I think there are some traits that just drive Snyder crazy.

This has always puzzled me as well. The two players are very similar in a lot of ways yet AB had a very short leash and Clarkson has one of the greenest lights of any role player in the entire NBA. Kind of strange.

Felt like there was a similar dynamic with Jonas Jerebko and Niang. Quin will ride or die with Niang and Jonas seemed to get yanked around.

You know that DL is still fuming over his treatment of Exum. I think Dante sucked... so Quin was right. I think DL will end up signing him at his next stop as his first order of business.

Funny how literally 99% of posters on here were furious about the Udoka pick. Sometimes things are that ****ing obvious and somehow DL still managed to do it. Trading a 2nd for Matt Thomas and then saying Oni could be one of the best wing defenders in the league is lol. Dude really didn’t have to do this to us on his way out. He can **** off.

He'll pull a Kawhi at his next stop and demand Exum come as his PG.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Exum was the biggest cause of the strain in their relationship. DL just couldn't give up on him even with all the injuries and poor play. He must've been furious that he was outside of Quins rotation those last couple of seasons he was on the Jazz.
