Does Kanter show Jazz made mistake in these playoffs ......

No I already admitted we got set back a year by drafting Kanter. Good thing we got lucky with Gobert and got a real Center.

You got set back by trading him away for nothing, now you are stuck with bunch of trash role players and still in the lottery but its okay since you are happy with it

I'm thinking of making a pull-string Kanter fan doll. I've been researching this guy's post history for material, but the problem is he keeps saying the same thing. Come on man, I need more than just one or two lines if this doll is going to be a hit seller...

In my opinion, it was Corbin's poor handling of Kanter that spoiled things for him in Utah. I really believe, maybe I'm wrong, that Kanter is a good guy and in his immaturity said some foolish things, and his frustration I think was understandable. If Quin had been the coach from the start, things would've been a lot different. Did anyone hear Withey's interview with Locke on Thursday. He flat out said he loved being in Utah despite not getting minutes after Rudy came back. And why? Because Quin leveled with him and said he wouldn't be playing much but that he liked what he was doing out there and wouldn't hesitate to use him if necessary. So, he knew when Rudy came back he wouldn't be playing much but was able to live with it because Quin was honest with him. I thought though that Quin should've given him more minutes and Quin did make at least one statement when he said he should have. If Quin had been coach from the start, I think Kanter would've been brought along in a way that would've maximized his talent.

On a Jazz team that lacked offense,Kanter finished 4th in FG % in the NBA and generally wrecked havoc on the offensive boards during his 21 minutes of play.If you compare him to Favors stats this year ,he probably was more productive in less minutes .
There was talk of Kanter ,Favors, and Gobert having enough minutes to play 32 minutes a piece.

Well I know lots of fanz are hoping he does lousy ,but if he kicks a$$ then Jazz management looks like they blew it with him and gave him to OKC for nothing.

Props to EK's offensive game and he is a beast on the boards. I don't think he'll ever be a positive plus/minus starting center due to lack of team play and especially terrible defense. I think the Thunder will regret the move in time. He'll certainly be game planned against and abused by the Spurs in the next round. He plays poorly against top opponents and plays fewer minutes. He was not worth a max contract so I am glad he is gone. Wish we had not drafted him. Jazz trying to make him a 3 point threat was a mistake, his place is under the glass. He just didn't fit with the Jazz vision and is a sunk cost, most of us have just moved on.

Of course the Jazz made a mistake when it comes to Kanter.. Lindsey obviously got ripped off..

You can talk, should they or shouldn't they have moved him all you want..

There's no debate as to who won the trade though.. OKC won it by a landslide..

The Jazz are out here helping the top teams in the west(Iguodala trade) beef up for their playoff runs while filling in the roster with fringe-talent... so they can dumpster dive in the lottery once again.. That's whats going on here.. Good thing they fell to the 12th pick as they did.. things are going according to plan..

DL wasn't getting anymore for him. OKC won the trade but it was the best trade to be found. He sabotaged the Jazz with his public statements and attitude. OKC was the best trade Utah could get or do we really believe they took a lesser offer to help OKC?

If they hadn't traded him and gotten what they could y'all would be going nuts over letting him walk for nothing.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

End of the day I'm glad he isn't here. He didn't want to be here and the Jazz are better now that he's not.

At that point in time maybe, they should've kicked the can down the road though..

EK forcing D Lindsey's hand isn't an acceptable answer to me. Am I to believe the inmates run the asylum??

When his Agent started making noise, I'd have laughed in Kanters face about it privately, and told him we planned on matching any offer in the offseason, and that he should take the Qualifying offer if he wants to get out of here ASAP..

Rudy and Favors both missed 20 games this season... They weren't better off off without him, he'd have been on the floor at the start of that 4th quarter vs Dallas, instead Withey was out there, and not all that effieicent... They make the playoffs with Kanter.. easily.. Plus some of the games where the offense stuttered out he'd have kept the team afloat with his ability to score in bunches..

Kanter still could've been moved at this years deadline if he was on his q/o or a max extension. He's 23.....

Exactly this.

Hell.. Since we basically got nothing for him anyway, we could've kept him and not played him a single minute, told him to stay home. ****ed up his market value and image. By the time he hit free agency he'd be making comparative scraps and likely not with a high-end team like the thunder.

Obviously he has talent. He could have helped us.

He didnt want to be here. ****er didnt even play all out for us.

Now hes on a "real" NBA team.
