Still don’t get why we’re so eager to trade Lauri tbh.. not everyday you get to have an All Star on your team.
Also, there is no guarantee that a team that finished 10th in the West last season and missed the playoffs and lost one of their main core pieces and is older and would lose some more rotation pieces in the trade.... will make the playoffs after adding Lauri. There is more to life than making the playoffs. He gets his bag of cash. He can be a big part of the reason we make the playoffs in the future instead of riding shotgun with some other franchise. Also, he doesn't have to move the family. I'm sure the losing may get frustrating at times this year but he seemed to have the right attitude about things last year and doesn't seem burnt by the franchise.
I remember when Ingles said he didn't care about money and after Utah he would go back to Australia to play there and raise his kids there.C.R.E.A.M.
Security was always the #1 factor imo. Even if he wants out go on ahead and get the bag first. I do think he is built a little different in that he wants to be the reason his teams are successful and not necessarily just join up with a bunch of guys. I think he wants to build something and likes that we have faith in him. I think the market also makes sense for his family life. Personally I would hate living in SF with kids. There are some surrounding areas that are cool but getting in and out of the city is a nightmare sometimes and there is just so much crime and homelessness. Its really depressing. Its just a lot to take in as far as a change.
Ingles probably meant it, too. Then you’re faced with leaving many millions of dollars on the table and realize you never get those chances again after you’re too old and you have the whole rest of your life to be too old.I remember when Ingles said he didn't care about money and after Utah he would go back to Australia to play there and raise his kids there.
Yet he continues to sign NBA checks
Yeah, but I also think it's just players wanting to appeal to fans. Fans love the "I don't care about money" angle, but unless you are Jalen Brunson I roll my eyes (and that's Ok! Zero judgement for wanting money)Ingles probably meant it, too. No one is eager to trade him but if there’s a possibility you can get a godfather deal as a rebuilding team you do it. I’m on record saying I wouldn’t do the deal without Kuminga and Podz and all the picks.Still don’t get why we’re so eager to trade Lauri tbh.. not everyday you get to have an All Star on your team.
A couple of reasons I'm not at liberty to say, but the overall sentiment is that Will Hardy unlocked his career, the Jazz have been very communicative to him concerning the overall plan and his family has taken to UtahI’m curious if you have any insights as to why this is? I can imagine it’s at least partially because of a renegotiate and extend, but also because his family likes it here, he believes in Danny, etc. Or are there other reasons as well?
ha! My bad!Dude, this is a message board, not Twitter. You don't have a limit on characters.
adding characters ad hoc to not look terribly hypocritical. Is this more than the limit?
Oh no, you said the magic word that will spark pages of debate.A couple of reasons I'm not at liberty to say, but the overall sentiment is that Will Hardy unlocked his career, the Jazz have been very communicative to him concerning the overall plan and his family has taken to Utah

Will The Jazz Trade Lauri Markkanen?
Despite trade rumors surrounding Lauri Markkanen this summer, the Utah Jazz forward appears to have hit the weight room.kslsports.com
While offseason workout footage of NBA players can be deceiving (see the Ben Simmons three-point shooting barrage), it’s difficult to dispute that Markkanen looks noticeably stronger in the social media posts.
The videos, posted by Dan Connelly on X, show the Jazz forward working out in Jyväskylä, Finland, a town roughly 160 miles from his hometown of Vantaa.
What say you @Handlogten's Heros? About 15 pounds more muscle?
