Does Lauri Get Dealt Before The Season Starts?

Could someone tell me why we couldn’t just wait til the next offseason to trade Lauri?

There could be more suitors then than just relying on the Warriors right?

Just think when you are a team that is having high end rookie talent coming in every year, you have to make cuts some places. That's basically what happened to Khris Middleton in Detroit and he broke out in Milwaukee. Teams find these players valuable as it's a very low risk acquisition.

Ya you seem to think Brice can't make our tanking rotation but warriors would want that kind of talent for a championship run.
Just seems odd.

What is odd about it? The Jazz will have another 3 rookies next year. It's a ton of young players trying to develop at once. Guys are going to get lost in the sauce. The Warriors, if they make this Lauri trade, will not have that same roster of young talent. Just think about it.
 
The part of a potential Lauri trade I'm struggling with right now is his impact on our young guys' player development. Specifically for Key and Hendricks, I think their development goes so much smoother with Lauri on the court. With potentially 3 draft picks coming in next year we're not going to have the luxury of waiting forever for guys to show promise. In a way we could be maximizing our 2025 draft, but in the process minimize our 2023 draft.

Luckily we got Filipowski in the wings. He's going to be a great connector and make everyone better

Just saying it's weird to think a dude who can't make the rotation on a bad team will make the rotation on a good team and be a positive contributor to a championship run.

If he sucks to the point of not being able to get minutes in a team trying to lose then I don't think the warriors really want him.
