Hood made it but inuries did him in, mostly that Achilles injury is what did him in. IMO his family or agent did him no favors either but turning down the Jazz' extension offer either, that bigger pay day never came.

Hoods injuries definitely held him back, but I think there was clearly mentality stuff holding him back too. He really wanted to be a 20+ ppg type scorer in the NBA instead of developing his complete game. That Kobe game changed him.

Nah you keep em around as expiring contracts until you make a move... unless there is someone you really love and want to give a shot.

Sure...they have a little outgoing salary you'd feel really stupid if there's a trade that could have been executed with them if you had waived them already. I do think, however, PT should be seen as a resource and we have PT available for a PG. You'd also feel really stupid if you let a good player get signed elsewhere. I think having an open roster spot that can be used for trial is something we should do and ideally start asap.

Ironically, Saben Lee would have been a good guy to take a flier on. His defensive playmaking would have fit right in and he might look OKish surrounded by shooting on offense. But I guess he didn't impress.

Also had the worst run of MLE usage I can think of. Ed Davis, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gay.....dreadful and cost us a lot of draft picks to pay for more golfing trips. I think Don and Rudy were the least of UTA's problems despite shouldering most of the blame. The FO surrounded them with a bunch of garbage.

Well we probably already waived to two most eligible pgs on the waiver wire... so doubt there is anyone intriguing enough atm. Once G league season starts if someone catches their eye I don't think they would hesitate regardless of position... for now there is no reason to waive either guy.

I think Udoka has a better chance at getting some run than a waiver wire pg would anyway. NAW, THT, Sexton, Conley, JC all spend time there.

No he wasn’t. He sucked most of the time. And those other two players are much bigger. None of the players you mention move the needle at all. None of them should’ve been drafted by our team.
