do you think there's a possibility that the basis of what he is talking about might not necessarily be 100% skin colour but things like ... standard of living, levels of education, infrastructure, political and social stability and so forth when making the assessment that a country is a ******** ??

Do you have any idea of the history behind why Haiti in particular has such a low standard of living compared to countries like Norway and the US?

The wealth of France in the 18th century was largely created in what would become Haiti with the unpaid labor of Africans stolen from their homelands, just lile America!

Just to add, another reason why America refused to recognize Haiti is because they were created by a slave revolt. At the time Haiti became independent, slavery was still legal in the US. Recognizing a country born from a slave revolt would have undoubtedly raised the calls for abolitionism earlier. Of course, listen to any Trump Deplorable and they'll tell you how slavery was actually a good thing for blacks... Derp derp.

Not to mention that for most of the 2nd half of the 20th century, America supported ruthless right wing dictators in Haiti who were against Communism. America didn't want Haiti to become another Cuba so they supported some pretty awful characters who used American aid money to enrich themselves and persecute their own citizens. Decades of persecution and lack of public investment has led to a pretty awful situation for Haitians living in the post Cold War era.

But yeah, don't expect those educated by Fox n Friends and AM radio to know a ****ing thing about Haiti.

how long can they use that excuse. after a while you would clean up your act right.

These countries may be *********, but that doesn't mean the people who want to leave a ******** aren't worthwhile. Obviously, a smart person who finds their self born in a corrupt, impoverished ******** will likely want to leave to a place that provides them with the opportunity to succeed. you might think that but i have seen how people break laws or find loopholes to go to other countries. trust me i have seen ********* you cant imagine.

there is this loophole in south America if you go to french Guyana you cna have an anchor baby. which then gives you acces to the eu free movement, like for example free education to those kids. etc. and no only smart people use that loophole as a matter of fact. people who dont respect laws ussually do

I have lived in one of the countries he was referring to. Honduras. And I will put of the overall humility, something America could use a little more of, work ethic and genuineness of the Hondurans up against Americans any day.

Repubs are too stupid to consider this question, but why do you think the Russians helped repubs to win this past election? Could it be because they know that the gop is incapable of good governance?
