I agree with this. The smart thing though would have been to fire him after the investigation is over. That is assuming Trump is innocent or thinks he is innocent of the investigation. Since if he is guilty he might not be in a position to fire him or if he is it would look very petty.Fwiw, Rod Rosenstein, the guy who was recently approved by a 94-6 vote and was a US attorney in Maryland for all 8 years of Obama's tenure played a very large role in Comey being fired. Timing is suspicious, but it is a warranted firing. Rosenstein, who actually seems to be non-partisan in regards to his job, makes a big impact in the thought process of this imo.

Rosenstein has been in the job for 2 weeks? Did I hear that right? 2 weeks?!?
