How about we, and by that I mean the entire board, stick to topics other than personally directed comments. If someone wants to talk about Trump, then talk about Trump. If it is governmental corruption then the topic is corruption. You would have thought the litany of Trump appointed judges, investigators and persecutors that handed down some of his indictments would have stopped this conspiracy in its tracks. Yet for some reason, they didn't. Huh.

We should make a deal with MAGA. The DOJ will drop all charges on Trump related to Jan 6 as long as Biden gets to do exactly what Trump did; ignore election results and use the military to oppress anyone who dissents. So in 2024, if Biden wins? He stays in office. If he loses? He can declare the election results to be fraudulent, have his VP throw out certification, use the military to quell any dissenters, and then stay in office for as long as he wants.

Do we have a deal? Think MAGA would agree to that?

I also love how they’re complaining about Dems’ “election interference.” As if they have no choice in choosing their leader right now. What’s stopping the base from saying, “thanks donald, you got us 3 judges and tax cuts and totally made libs cry so hard. But your time is up and we’re moving to someone else.”

You are 100% on point when you characterized this as "the DOJ going after Trump". It is a corruption of the system for the system to go after anyone, for the focus to be on the person to find something in the legal code they can use. to prosecute.

The Democrats will not be in control of the DOJ forever. The Republicans are not better human beings. If the Democrat controlled DOJ is open about establishing a precedent of secret plea deals hidden in diversion agreements to garner immunity to their friends while hand-picking judges to preside over whatever political operatives could come up with to imprison their political opponents then the Republicans will play be those rules too. That is a very dark path.
