Right. I agree.

But I don’t see how there’s a different take from a conservative to liberal view on these indictments. You either break the law or don’t.

Also, are you and LG no longer considered conservatives?

I don’t like the idea that I felt was insinuated (and could’ve been mistaken) that in order to be conservative you have to defend Trump’s ****.

For what it’s worth, The indictments today are being praised by liberals and conservatives in my social media feeds in very much the same way.
I'm not really a conservative anymore. Not even close, really. That is because conservatives have moved right and I've moved left. I have always been essentially extreme in my social/cultural liberalism, but I was in a weird spot where I was anti-regulation, pro-gun, small government advocate, anti-tax, pro-military, and ultra pro-USA.

I've never been a nationalist, though. I think most conservatives today are nationalists (the most common downfall of great nations) they have moved away from sober conservatism and competent military management in favor of party sorority girl style conservatism and ideological purity style military leadership. The trumpers are having a party at the end of (their) universe.

Why? How would a conservative voice differ from a liberal one with the indictments that came down today?

Is there a conservative argument that would defend/excuse Trump’s behavior in late 2020 and early 2021?
Maybe not, but I'd be interested to have a reasonable person explain their viewpoint.

And I mean a conservative in today's vernacular, that has moved farther right along with the party, but not a die hard MAGA.

Same here. I used to be Republican, but the party veered way hard right and I couldn't get behind it. Ever being GOP again ceased to be a thing for me when winning a Primary became about which Derp could out derp the other Derps. It ceased to be about ideas, family, and community. It's now literally womb raiding, Semi-Auto Jesus, openly demonizing "teh geys", and openly flirting with guys we would have knocked around in any other time in history.

I was, and remain, just an american. Im not a democrat or republican, liberal or conservative.

I hate the two party system and the two parties.

Through all trumps indictments and past crimes this most recent one is the one I care about most and the one I most want him to be convicted of and given a harsh sentence for.

This. I've leaned conservative in the past but mostly always been something of a centrist. But when the conservatives pushed so far right I'm practically a card-carrying liberal now. But imo both parties are moving to the fringes. I'm more of a libertarian bent but not the extremes of that dogma either. I'm with fish, and I've said for years, that the 2-party System will be our downfall. And here it is coming to fruition.

But I've become more liberal in recent years, mostly in the vein of live and let live. Do whatever the hell you want and let other people do what they want within the rules of our society in general. Treat each other the same, give each other the same courtesies and benefits within society regardless of their proclivities or your political, religious, or otherwise dogmatic beliefs. Because believe me for many people it's a pretty thin line between politics and religion.

I am deeply concerned about some things, such as the messages being sent to our children who are so impressionable, and the dangers of screen time and social media to them and to society as a whole. But I've also become much more of a nihilist than I've been in years past, so it kind of balances out.

Trump will finally be able to reveal his election fraud evidence in court!
Exhibit #1: The judge in this case.

DC Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan was Hunter Biden's coworker at the law firm of Boies Schiller Flexner where the two worked from 2009 to 2014 at which time someone who will remain nameless suggested to Obama that she should be made a DC Federal Judge. In cases related to January 6th, she has a 100% rate of incarcerating defendants, even in cases where the prosecution wasn't asking for jail time. In 64% of the January 6th-related cases she presided over she has unilaterally exceeded the sentences being asked for by the prosecution. If the DNC-owned DOJ wanted to send a message to Republicans about the consequences of prosecuting Hunter Biden, DC Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan is exactly who they would choose to be the messenger.

If you want to see evidence of the system being rigged by the DNC then Exhibit #1 is DC Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan being assigned to this case. The fix is so in at this point that they aren't even trying to hide how this looks.

I have you on ignore.

Can you show me the basic respect of not responding to me directly?

You called me a child abusing pedophile. We don't have anything to talk about, ever.

You would have thought the litany of Trump appointed judges, investigators and prosecutors that handed down some of his indictments would have stopped this conspiracy in its tracks. Yet for some reason, they didn't. Huh.

I agree with this. I think you’re still mostly conservative but many former “conservatives” have become nationalists. What I hate is how nationalists have stolen what it means to be conservative, Christian, patriotic, etc.
