my theory is that he's such an egregious disgusting slimeball who cares so little about what people think of what he says it makes him by far the loudest without any kind of filter in his blowback against those factors. I think that those groups of people mentioned who feel ignored and disempowered see him as so far and away their strongest and loudest voice fighting for them that somehow they can overlook the distaste they personally might feel for the man himself. It's not just that he gives them a voice, it's that he's so extreme and forceful no matter how distasteful they may find him they'd rather align with someone who they see is pushing back the hardest against the evil faceless gumment swamp.

I honestly can't see how he doesn't win. There are so many indicators of a coming recession apparently and if that happens people always will vote with their wallets in mind. He'll be seen as a better alternative to an incumbent government overseeing a recession

If we vote Trump in to solve a recession I think we'll be in for a long term depression. He set the table for this "recession" cooked the turkey dry and stuck his junk in the pumpkin pie on his way out the door.

I kind of addressed that here. When people feel they are experiencing an existential crisis they will latch onto whatever gives them relief. Trump is that for so many.

The economy as it is today was sowed years ago. That's how the economy works. It takes many years for tweaks to the economy made to become reality to everyday people.

You don't understand that and voters generally don't understand that. Nothing new.
 
I too feel left behind. The left mocks uneducated Christian blue collar salt of the earth types like me. Which is why I’m gonna vote for a billionaire from Manhattan who wears cakes of makeup and supports tax cuts for fellow billionaires and wants to gut the EPA, replace Obamacare with nothing, and drain social security.

I'm sick of politicians who make fun of hard working folks like me, which is why I worship a guy who makes fun of religion all the time (two Corinthians), takes pictures in front of churches holding the Bible upside down (after gassing and beating the **** out of people), and brags about grabbing women by their *****. Remember when he admitted that he had nothing to repent of and couldn’t name a single bible verse? Obviously, he’s not just exploiting us for personal gain. He brags about his supporters being so stupid that he could shoot someone and he wouldn’t lose any support. He even called veterans who died in France losers. Ha! What suckers! They didn’t even have rich fathers who could pay for doctors to lie about bone spurs. Oh so your home wa destroyed during a hurricane? Have no fear, he’ll shoot paper towels at ya. Don’t forget to take the forest.

We need someone who’ll solve problems. Like getting rid of the vermin. Because that’s always ended well. Like sticking flashlights up our asses during a global pandemic. That’ll cure covid! Or nuking a hurricane. Or building a wall that Mexico will pay for. Remember drawing on a map with a sharpie the path of an hurricane? Infrastructure week is just two weeks away! No one has greater contempt for the Republican base than MAGA politicians and especially Trump. It’s a huge grift. MAGAs who think Trump is “fighting the left” can’t see that they’re actually just giving themselves a junk punch while enriching Trump and his family. Let’s not forget, Fox News paid a lot of money because they knowingly shoveled **** about the 2020 election. The left didn’t do that, Fox News did. Again, no one has greater contempt for us working class slobs than MAGA. But sure, “he fights the left.”

yeah it's not always that slow Specific government policies can have significant effects within a year or two
