Draft Day grade - A+

Greg Miller has never been cheap. I really don't understand the hate towards Greg when it comes to spending. He has shown an open wallet more than his father and more than most owners in the NBA (especially those of small markets).

For me, he just has one of those faces you want to punch. I can't really explain it. Glad he provided the cash we needed tonight.

Burke's been my guy for a while, back when he was projected in our range. Then I realized there was no way he'd be there and, just like Lillard, would jump up. Then he jumped after the tournament. Good day!

I mean, I don't think Burke is a bad pick. But for a bad draft, and hearing from multiple people that the PG's in the draft are weak, I just don't see him as a savior or center piece that a lot of people are hyping him to be. I hope I'm wrong. Then again, I may just be forgetting about MoWilliams/Tinsley/Watson.

Is Burke going to be a great PG? Probably not. But I do think that he will be good, and he has some leadership skills that we need. Fact is, we got the best PG in an average to below-average draft while giving up none of our current players. We addressed our biggest need while talking the BPA. I don't think Burke is a savior or center piece, but I think he will be a very integral part of our starting rotation for years to come. The best part is that one of Burke's biggest weaknesses (his defense) won't be as big of a deal because of Favors, Kanter and Gobert patrolling the paint. Plus, Burke running the fast break with the rest of our team is going to be exciting as hell.

Repped.

I didn't realize we snagged Gobert until just now.

WOW.

Lindsey is changing this franchise. Wow.

Yeah, A+ for sure. We underpaid for both Burke and Gobert.

And we STILL have Alec Burks and Enes Kanter.
However, I don't think the entire credit should go to Lindsey. I'm sure it was equal parts Kevin and Dennis with a cupful of Sloan and maybe even a dash of Corbin. Oh yeah, and a sprinkle of Miller's money.
