Why don't you go **** yourself?
This is a topic about guarding Durant. The guy gets favorable calls. That doesn't take away (much) from his greatness, but it should raise an eye brow (looking at pace adjusted team free throws attempted and team jump shooting percentages for OKC v. the NBA should help raise the other).
I never said the refs jilted the Jazz. I never even hinted at it. I only commented on Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Is it not possible that some players are officiated differently than others (even Jazz players)? Don't get your panties in a bunch just because you didn't understand previous posts.
Uh-oh. Someone's getting a little mad. I better watch myself.
Does Durant get favorable calls? I'm sure he does on occasion (whether it's an NBA/David Stern conspiracy or just ref-instigated favoritism doesn't matter to me very much, but that's another topic). I'm also sure it benefited our own Jazz players over the years too. Superstar treatment is not a new conspiracy, and I imagine it will haunt the NBA for as long as the league exists. I think we can agree on this.
Where we diverge is in the Durant/Deron comparison (which you actually did comment on, negating your claim that you only commented on Durant, but whatever...neither here nor there). I am of the opinion that Deron's Jump% correlated to his FTs taken% is of a relatively small enough difference compared to Durant to make the notion that Durant is some foul-magnet somewhat wrong. You don't think so (and in proper internet forum board fashion lashed out at the concept that someone thinks differently, but again, I frankly don't care).
I'm glad you said the refs don't jilt the Jazz. I never claimed you said it either. Another thing we can agree on.
Sure, it's possible that some players are reffed against differently than others. I would make the claim that the differences in calls lie (lay?) more in the sense that Player A plays a different style than Player B rather than refs seeing "Durant" printed on the back of the jersey and getting themselves ready to blow the ol' whistle.
I did understand previous posts actually. Again, I'm going to reference the fact that you are responding in the manner you are because I'm not kneeling down at your profound insight.
