DWill Anyone?

DWill has the opportunity to opt out of the final year of his deal. This year he did average 14.1 ppg and 5.8 assists. The assists would have lead the Jazz and the ppg would put him 4th in scoring. Does the old war horse have anything left?

Doesnt he still live here in the off-season. It makes so much sense for him to end his career here as a backup. Utah fans need to suck up their pride. He is way better than Mack, Neto, or Burke.

I'm down with this. I still think he's a good player.

Personally I'm down. I went to the Mavs game and was one of the few fans that cheered him during his introduction. He played well for us and netted us a good return on the trade.
If he is ok being a back up PG and at a decent price I'm all in. I'd gladly cheer him on again.

The dude can run an offense, score when is needed AND is a veteran who can really help teach and guide the team during the tough stretches of games and of the season.

I am the one who wants to raid and pillage the bandwagon to sign a vet PG to play in front of Exum, but if it's Deron that's gonna take minutes and mentor him, then I would clear that wagon's path from raiders. I swear to the old gods and the new. The first episode sucked *** btw.

Let alone there were some recent Dwill quotes that sounded like He would like to end it here.

I am not sure that Exum will be or should be the starter next year. I hope DE becomes an all star but not at all sure he will be ready next year and I would take D Will as a potential starter and as a future back up. I went to our home closer against the Mavs and kept thinking not only how well he played but how well he dissected our defense. Bring him back if he will come. I want to make some noise in the playoffs next year.

The more I think about it the more I like it. If he opts out and is ok with being a mentor, as in starting at first and then giving up the reigns for Exum, then I want him. Scrolling thru his game log there are plenty of games where he balled it out. If he could stay healthy he could really bolster our team.

Our lack of talent at PG is unreal. I like Mack, but he was a 3 string PG hardly getting any playing time. With our current roster its either him or Exum starting and that makes me nervous

So he stopped running Jerry's plays. How long would it take before he'd stop running Quin's? Actually let it happen. I would pay good money to see a confrontation between Snyder and Williams in front of the bench.

Hopefully not long at all because Snyder's plays suck.

That would be awesome if DWill opted out and came back. We'd finally have a crunch time player again!

The moron Jazz fans booing him every time he touches the ball sure wont help influence him to return. Somehow the booing only grew louder over the years...

You don't think he's a little more mature now than he was then?

I was there also. I didn't cheer, but I didn't boo. (And was surprised by how many did boo.)

I have no ill will towards DWill. He's been nothing but respectful towards Utah.

He certainly looked good in that game, not sure how the rest of his season has gone. If he's got gas left in the tank, why not? Like you, I'd gladly cheer him on again.
