Early Onset Psychosis Linked To Mary Jane Use

The "Weed is natural, it's a plant" argument never made much sense to me, tbh. Should we legalize opium too? Cocaine?

Don't get all crazy on us by advocating synthetic tank oxygen now.

Next thing we know they'll be putting iodine in are salt and vitamins in are serious.

Raw opium? Yes. Coca leaves? Yes.

Exactly.
Cocaine and opium get processed by man, so i dont consider them natural.

Where with weed you can pop a seed in the ground, watch it grow, cut it, hang dry it and enjoy it

Cutting and hang drying is processing. Your distinction is arbitrary.

I disagree.

Is picking an apple from a tree processing?

I would not expect you to agree. If you did, you would not have set up an arbitrary distinction in the first place.

The equivalent to eating an apple right off a tree is smoking/ingesting a cannabis leaf right off the plant. You don't do that.

I also think the "it's natural" argument is pretty ****ing stupid.

Dal, I'm not convinced criminalizing possession/use of drugs of abuse is effective in curbing use/abuse/addiction. I think it probably does more harm than good. So yes, absent better evidence that the best way to deal with drug abuse is by throwing people in prison, I think all drugs should be decriminalized (at the very least).

It's the flowers, not the leaves, that are usually smoked/ingested (fwiw).

How about humans increasing the THC level of marijuana plants from the 60's to what we have today?

doesnt have to be done.
If i grow it then i can decide how i want it grown.

Dont farmers try to maximize the size and quality of thier products?

I guess nothing is really all natural.

I maintain that marijuana is better for ya and less dangerous than prescription pain pills no matter how ya spin it since i have had multiple people close to me (that i loved dearly) who have died at a young age from pain pill addiction but i have never heard of weed taking anyones life

Agreed.

Technically nothing domesticated would be "natural" in that sense of the word.

My dog may be an alien.
