You can’t criticize DL for these moves. Most here loved the trade for Conley and those other players mentioned. This might be a credible bread had it been started by someone that had actually hated these deals to begin with.Obviously DL stunted our teams potential by trading for Conley. In the midst he has shackled our ability to sign free agents based on Conley's contract, he also gave key assets in the acquisition. He also made bone head moves in signing Davis and Green
We kind of lucked into Donovan. Why anyone would want trey lyles is beyond me. Everyone involved with the drafting process should have been evaluated themselves.
The real mistake was not seeing Don as a pg from the beginning. I was wrong too, but at the time, I thought he was 6-3, not 6-1.Well, its not like we're locked into Conley long term. I think DL had all the right intentions but it backfired. His real failure is in the draft. How many PG's did we draft that sucked how many good PG's we could have drafted.
Jesus y’all. He functionally is 6-3. With the remeasurements (where they decided to go exclusively by height without shoes which is a fundamental departure from what they had always gone by) take 1-2 inches off every player in the NBA prior to this year. That **** was asinine. The real mistake was not seeing Don as a pg from the beginning. I was wrong too, but at the time, I thought he was 6-3, not 6-1.
I disagree. Many of us hated it and were vocal about it even back when it was floated as an idea at the mid-season trade deadline the previous season. I do not believe the majority here ever felt it was a good trade. You can’t criticize DL for these moves. Most here loved the trade for Conley and those other players mentioned. [Fingers crossed]DL is good at what he does but has made some serious blunders. He has generally found ways to redeem himself (trading Trey Lyles for Donovan, trading Exum for Clarkson) so I hope he pulls another rabbit out of his ***.
