Election Count Issues

This **** is not right.
Armed protesters outside of an election officials home threatening and intimidating them (and their 4 year old kid) to overturn the votes and the will of the people.

What Trump is doing is dangerous and irresponsible.

Criminal. Fomenting the overthrow of the government is treason. He should go to prison. Period.

Trump is 1-40 in election challenges.

Let that sink in for a moment.

And Georgia, for the third time, recounted its votes and found nothing.

Another day another loss in court

"In fact, this lawsuit seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek – as much of that relief is beyond the power of this Court – and more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government,"

Thought I read that the judge dismissed it from the bench would be very rare.

Taking to a couple Trumpers today and they said that its impossible that Trump lost the election and their reasoning was that Trump got more votes in 2020 than he got in 2016 therefore he had to have won this election.
I'm not making this up. I wish I was.
I explained that 2016 doesn't matter in relation to 2020 and all that matters is who got more votes out of the candidates in 2020.
They (it was a couple that I was speaking with) said that if trump got more votes than Hillary in 2016 and got even more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016 then that would mean that he would have had to have gotten more votes than Biden.
I tried to explain that more people voted in 2020 than 2016 and therefore it's entirely possible for trump to get more votes in 2020 than he got in 2016 and still lose.
They said that I didn't make sense and that I don't understand math or how elections work and said that this election was rigged.
I had to just walk away. How can you even debate with someone who is that confused yet believe they know so much?

Not to mention Hillary got more votes in 2016.

Honestly, it's sad that the Republican party has descended to the level of having to play on its supporters lack of intelligence and its supporters faith (I'm not lumping those two together).
The only way for a party to stay relevant - in the same age as when they have to use the Electoral College to still eke out competitiveness - is to use citizen stupidity, fear, and bias against itself.
That is just... sad. That's not the Republican party I supported when I voted for Reagan.

Can we not say that Trump’s rhetoric, since the election ended, has actually encouraged acts of insurrection on the part of unhinged followers?

Seems to me that he has, that such acts are insurrection. Inspired by the president himself. Encouraged by a sitting president’s inflammatory rhetoric.

We are so numb to 4 years of outrageous words and behavior on the part of this man, that he can actually encourage Republican officials in swing states to overturn the decision of the citizenry in a fair and secure election, and help keep him in power, against the collective will of the American people.

And inspire armed mobs to display acts of insurrection.

Some might see such behavior as treason.

Well said.

Of course you could substitute "random republican demagogue" in place of Trump and it would be just as apt.
So far Trump is one of a kind in his ability to illicit the kind of blind loyalty he has.

Bush Jr. was criticized and praised on both sides. Obviously criticized more from the left and praised more on the right, but conservatives would criticize at times and liberals would praise.

Regan was pretty well liked by a wide swath of the U.S.. But he was also mocked and teased by both sides at times.

Trump is different.

Yesterday the supreme court laughingly and unanimously dismissed two of team trumps cases. One in Nevada and one in Pennsylvania.

Oh and what a clown show team trump has become.

There was the 4 seasons debacle.

The Rudy hair dye my cousin vinny embarrassment.

The Rudy scandal in a major motion picture
Rudy farting on the mic.

Team trump witness acting drunk and unhinged to the point that Rudy has to try to shush her.

Sidney Powell acting so unhinged that team trump has to distance themselves from her.

Recounts adding to Bidens lead after trump spends 3 million to get the recount.

Over 30 losses in court including 2 in the supreme court.

Yesterday some GOP dude in texas talking about the election fraud had a tooth fall out on camera.

And yet many brainwashed Americans think these are the people who should be trusted as respectable truth tellers. Total cult mentality.
