Individual workout with Jazz in Chicago, and whether he thinks Utah's a good fit for him: I like Utah Jazz, because the team plays together and it's a really good team. With me, I believe I can help them. I talked to coach [Tyrone Corbin] — I played against him one-on-one. He's tough. And I just told him I think I'll be great fit for them.

Feeling Jazz might take him: Yeah, they might. I hope.

Playing center in the NBA: I'd love to play center for [the Jazz]. My first position's center. But right now, I'm working on my shooting and face-up game, too.

Feedback from Jazz after Chicago workout: First of all, I feel so comfortable with them. Coach was great. Kevin O'Connor was great.

Did O'Connor seem impressed: Yeah. He was great. I spoke to them a lot. He's a great guy. I just feel so comfortable with them. The coach knows everything about big men. I think if I work with him, he will make me so much better.

Jazz should draft Kanter instead of Knight, unless Williams falls to #3. Kanter really thinks the Jazz will draft him, Corbin, has a great connection with him. Knight doesn't really seem excited about playing for the Jazz, while Kanter does. Most importantly, Kanter wants to play for the Jazz, Kanter said he is a center and with Favors at power forward that is really exciting.

This is all bearing that the Timberwolves draft Kanter at #2 and Williams would go #3. All in all, I think the Jazz should draft whoever falls to them between Williams and Kanter.

Kanter is just saying this because he is realizing the possibility of playing for the Timberwolves or the Cavs and is getting scared.

I don't read much into any of these interviews. I guarantee you that BOTH Kanter and Knight would be ecstatic to be picked #3 and play for the Jazz. Knight is ALL business and won't be emotional about what team he plays for .. he just wants to get to work and improve his game .. same with Enes.

I agree with you. However I would love getting my hands on both Williams and Kanter. How about Millsap, CJ, Evans plus #12 for the number #2.

Very interesting contrast between Kanter, Knight when asked about being drafted by and playing for Jazz. Kanter was highly optimistic and ..... sounded sincerely excited about the opportunity. Knight appeared far less interested than he did last week right after working out.

This is interesting. I wonder if Smith is reading too much into body language right now. Knight could just saying things vaguely so as not to say anything wrong. Knight just seems like a very serious kid.

Kanter seems to be a ton more laid back in interviews, but he sounds really confident when talking about the private workout with the Jazz.

Not sure if we can draw conclusions that this makes Kanter the frontrunner for the #3 spot, but at face-value it sure seems like it. I still maintain that we have no way of knowing what the Jazz will do.

Kanter seems really excited and happy all the time. It's that goofy accent and limited English, very Fess like. He just seems like a really light hearted dude. Knight is obviously much more serious and approaches everything more professionally.

Andy Katz from ESPN.com:

Utah is deciding among four players at No. 3 with two of them likely not within its reach. If Irving and Williams are indeed gone by the time they come on the clock, the Jazz are leaning toward Kanter over Brandon Knight of Kentucky, but that remains a fluid discussion for management.

Spot on. Kanter wants to be a pro wrestler when he retires from bb .. Knight wants to have invested wisely and travel the world .. exploring other cultures.

With who is available, we're in the cat-bird's seat. Maybe Minnie grabs Kanter that leaves either Irving or Williams. If not we get Knight or Kanter, two good picks IMO. Can't go wrong, really, unless KOC goes all numbnuts and trades down at this point.

Utah had an All Star in a Center from Turkey. With Kanter they may have another. I would make Memo a player-coach.

Kanter could just be saying that to make Cavs/Minny freak out & pick him before he's there for Utah at #3...

I don't think we could read too much into that actually..

He sounds better then Knight. Kanter > Knight as of today for me. Sad becasue I really like Knight and Millsap. Once Utah drafts Kanter Millsap will be traded for a Small Forward. Thank You Brandon Knight!

I'm telling you, it's Kanter and then Jimmer (unless someone projected much higher drops) and there will be NO TRADES.

Perrin and KOC have been highly complimentary of both players. Of Knight, they said that he worked his #$% off in the solo workout - probably went harder than most do when playing against others. And they understand it was his agent's decision to not let him face others. They also didn't seem too concerned over the lack of PT by Kanter. Perrin said he has tapes going back to when Enes was 15.

I don't think the Jazz are looking at other Euros. Perrin mentioned they'd be tracking a younger guy but he wouldn't say who that is. To me, that means we likely won't see Motiejunas at 12 or a trading down to take JV or Vesely.

This has been and continues to be the most obvious scenario, and I'd be happy with this.

I'd be happy too but KOC would be swinging for the fences. No one knows what Kanter will be and Jimmer is a stretch cause you don't know how he will handle the pressure and if he can adapt to the Jazz system. Both have a lot of potential, but both are big gambles. His last 2 big gambles have worked with drafting Hayward and trading Deron
