Enes Kanter Interview About Jazz at #3

I don't think it's too much of a gamble. I think their floors are pretty safe and their ceilings are pretty nice. I'd rather go for that than the safe floor with a limited ceiling. Or someone like Singleton who's ceiling is low and his floor may not be as safe as everyone thinks. NO SINGLETON.

I don't think the Jazz are looking at other Euros. Perrin mentioned they'd be tracking a younger guy but he wouldn't say who that is. To me, that means we likely won't see Motiejunas at 12 or a trading down to take JV or Vesely.

I'd guess Bertans.

I can't believe people are basing who they would rather pick regarding Kanter and Knight on how excited they seemed in an interview to play for Utah. This draft really needs to happen soon so we can start bitching about who we drafted and then not watch them play for half the season. Can't wait.

A number of experts have Enes Kanter just outside of the top trio of picks in Thursday night’s NBA Draft, but don’t tell the big man that.

Kanter has been often linked to the Utah Jazz, who own the third overall selection. But Brandon Knight is also the player most often believed to be Utah's preferred pick.

Asked often about the possibility of playing for the Jazz, Kanter admitted that he would be comfortable in Salt Lake City.

“First of all, I like the Jazz because they play together and they are a very good team,” he said Wednesday. “I believe I can help them. I played against the head coach one-on-one, he’s tough.”

Utah also holds the 12th overall pick in the first round.

“I just talked to him and I think I’d be great for them,” Kanter said when asked to expand on his game of one-on-one against head coach Tyrone Corbin.

When asked about his expectations heading into the draft, the big man appeared confident.

“I will say … top three,” he predicted.

Sensing that he favors Utah as his NBA home, a reporter outright asked Kanter if he thinks the Jazz will draft him third overall.

“Yeah, they might,” he smiled. “I hope.”

Kanter is just saying this because he is realizing the possibility of playing for the Timberwolves or the Cavs and is getting scared.

cavs is in a rebuilding process and i believe they will actually be a good team in upcoming yrs. Also there is another turkish player who can help him out in cavs. And minny would probably trade him to a team that he wouldnt be so frustrated to play for

Well, Kanter sounds pretty happy about playing for Utah. I think this is largely due to Corbin and O'connor being really good with people. (I just realized this is sort of a knock on Sloan. Sorry Jerry, you cantankerous old *******). :)
