What's new

ESPN: Bucks and T'Wolves have talked Bogut + 10th pick for 2nd pick

Screwed up right arm. It should get better.

I'm sorry Numberica, but the fact is that fracture/dislocations of the wrist and elbow can be absolutely devastating and can severely limit range of motion and cause pain for the rest of one's life. With fracture involvement of the joint itself, early arthritis is the rule--not the exception. There are those that heal well and the patient is symptom-free within a year. But, that is definitely NOT the norm.

You may be confusing the issue with a simple "broken arm" which involves no joints, ligaments, nor the interosseus membrane that holds the radius/ulna together. Although he won't be bearing his own body weight on the affected limb, he does need to be able to have full supination/pronation, and extension/flexion to be effective on the offensive end. I am certain that this is what is limiting his shot to under 50% and I do't think you can be sure that it will get appreciably better.

I am a physician. NO to Bogut.
