Eurobasket 2011: Turkey - England match is starting now. :) Live match Started

yes he is best

and

In the 2009 NBA Draft, Phoenix suns selected Emir Preldzic in the second round, with the 57th draft pick

Do they still own his rights though? Freeland had a very good year in the Euroleague. Still has a big buyout though. Portland might bring him over season after next.

nice to see AK and Zaza shaking hands and hugs between other players as well... it is basketball, lets not confuse it with politics.

I know that this might come across as ignorant but what is the difference between Great Brittain and England?

The simple answer is Great Britain is the island that the states of England, Wales, and Scotland lie on. When one refers to Great Britain they are referring to those three states as a whole. The "United Kingdom" includes all those states and the state of Northern Ireland, which is on the island of Ireland. England is the largest state (both in terms of land and population) in Great Britain.

I'm a bit confused why Great Britain competes as pme combined team but doesn't compete as the United Kingdom. Does Northern Ireland have their own team or do they team up with the Republic of Ireland?

LOL :)

jonas V fouled out in 18 minutes; 7 points,2 rebounds, 5 turnovers,5 fouls

I watched the game as well, he tried way to hard looked nervous and forced things, thus some stupid fouls. I am surprised how they count TO in this tourney, if bad pass was given by PG for example and big man fails to catch it they give TO to big man.
Anyway, Lithuania completely outplayed Poland, tomorrow will be first real test for Turkey.

I honestly thought, due to the struggles that Lithuania had, that Great Britain wold be a real test for Turkey. I really like Lithuania as a team but after seeing the results from the two games that GBR has played it makes me wonder if they are a little overrated.

No I did not see that game just a result. Kaman was a monster with 17pts17reb. And Macedonia beat Croatia, thats the first real upset in tourney so far.
As far as LT-Turkey goes - LT plays at home so I will give them slight edge..60/40 IMHO.
