Eurobasket 2025

On topic: there were reports that Lauri’s trade market had cooled given his faltered performance last year.

I wonder if these numbers charge the trade conversations back up.

I don’t think Tremendous Upside is that dumb, though I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.

I think he’s just doing his pouty Eeyore sad donkey ******** like the little bitch he is.
Oh for sure.

Well, originally I typed "Last season Lauri was the 3rd on the team the total FGA (after Keyonte and Sexton)" and then added to that "and FGA per 36" and did not follow it with "(after Clarkson and Sexton)". I still fail to see how the fact that Lauri was still third in FGA/36 but behind another player changes my argument. Again, Lauri was third in FTA/36 and fourth in points per 36. That makes it pretty difficult to argue that he was the first option on the team.

As an aside, I will probably refrain from continuing this conversation with you. You seem to have very vague ideas about how regular people interact and I don't particularly feel like talking with someone who gives off a strong and convincing impression of having been raised in a barn.
Again, incorrect. See total minutes matters to the discussion. It's relevant. When determining who the #1 option is, per 36 doesn't have much value.
How many teams play their number 1 option lower minutes or in the case of Clarkson, bring them off the bench?

If Svi played 5 minutes per game but led the team in attempts per 36 then it would be pretty silly for me to say he was the number 1 option right?

Lauri took more shots than anyone on the team last year despite not being a ball in hand player. That is the most important and relevant point in the debate. Him not being a ball in hand player yet still leading the team in attempts is telling. It means that they are trying to get him the ball. That they are forcing the ball to him. That they want him taking shots.

And circling back around to the topic originally being discussed (Lauri being the #1 option this upcoming year), what team do sexton and Clarkson currently play for? Lauri will be the #1 option this coming year like he was last year.

As for how I interact act with you, pretty simply solution. Don't act like a douche and the way I converse with you will change.

Looks like you’re confused or something about this. Even though basketball coaches and team stat folks sometimes use per 36 min stats to compare bench players, they rarely use them for other things. They use advanced stats instead. That’s because per 36 min stats leave out many important factors (the impact of player fatigue, the level of attention a player gets, their position or role, how much they play against top units, etc.). Nowadays, we see per 36 min stats used perhaps most often by fans when they're trying to prove their favorite player is better than some other player.

Lauri will be great at this championship. First he is relaxing for 2 years here and he will show he can be a second option in a contending team. I still feel sad ( not really much considering the money he is making) that he is losing his prime in a tanking team.
