Exum Injured

Or it means we get a Curry like deal on his next contract and he blows up and becomes one of the best players in the league.

Yep.
I mentioned this earlier

This is not about this season. It's about his development and trajectory as a player for the next 2-3-4 years and about Jazz' ability to evaluate his progress. Now he misses 12 months and is in his third year playing post ACL surgery(there is some evidence that players level falls immediately after ACL surgery while they get used to and learn to trust the new reconstructed joints). So in year 3 we still wouldn't know what we have either way, especially if he doesn't play well... And then the last year of his rookie contract comes.

It's such a waste and such a setback. I absolutely hate this. It makes me wanna throw up. I don't care about next season. We weren't going to be contenders either way, with or without him, it doesn't matter much for next season's performance. But it would have mattered hell of a lot for his development and now he probably won't be back to full strength until year 4 of his contract and that screws us over much more than him barely missing 1 season of play.

I said it sux and it does but...
There is still reason to be excited about this team. Was Exum going to explode and turn the Jazz into a contender? Maybe, but probably not. The Jazz can find a pg. Dante is young and hopefully will heal well. We still have plenty of time to evaluate him. He will be a restricted FA in a few years. When that time comes we will pay him what he is worth and have four more years to continue his development. Nobody needs to tie a belt around their neck at this point.

This is what I want. (If exum is out)

Go get a vet pg, hopefully someone like George hill. The other starters deserve it. Keep exum out for the season. Next season bring exum slowly along with him being the main pg back up. The season after that make him the starter if he has proven that. Then we can either keep our vet pg as a backup or let him go.

Trey Burke will be the starter, at least until the deadline. Anyone hoping to trade for a starting pg before then is going to be disappointed.

If its a grade 1 tear he could be back in a couple months. If its a grade 3 tear he is out for the season but will be back to full strength or probably better next season.

With a grade 1 sprain, they probably wouldn't be able to diagnose that on exam. If the knee is loose, its likely a complete sprain.

Then guess what cupcake we've got to move on. What the **** do you want to do? Just throw in the towel. Boo hoo! Its all over!

You can only act like a bitch if Gobert goes down. Yes, then its over. Wahhhh!

George Hill would be somewhat affordable, the only problem is the Pacers doesn't seem to have a back-up PG who could take over the reign... so the Pacers would be very reluctant to trade him and the price would likely be artificially high.

We need to target teams with an oversupply of PGs...

“@livethefan @JeremyinSP @Lockedonsports can somebody confirm to me whether or not Mr. Locke is paid by the Utah Jazz?” - I can. YES

Confirmed.

I hate the injury but these guys are going to play basketball in the off season. Either in those FIBA games or pickup games, or over at the practice facility with the Jazz staff. They can get hurt doing any of those things.

Yep. I seriously don't understand the guys who are saying, "The Jazz should never have let him play that game!" An injury like that could have happened in ANY game. So you're going to tell the kid not to play any basketball at all during the summer?
