Dude that's why the medical staff, scouts, etc... get paid the big bucks. If he would have injured his knee with contact it's a different story, it can happen to anyone, but not being any contact it tells me that something was up with the way his body is structured. Nonetheless it's early and maybe it's nothing, we'll see. But I have a right to be angry if it does turn out being a big issue.

He played a full season last year injury- free while Parker, Gordon, Randle and several others suffered injuries. Guess Utah should have drafted Vonleh.

He did nothing. Doing nothing = hurting the offense.

Tony allen hurts memphis offense.

No, shooting 2-22 hurts the offense because you're wasting possessions that other guys could score on. 3 and D guys have value even simply as spot up shooters. Dante didn't add much offensively, but he also didn't take possessions from other players.

Those who think this injury doesn't matter much sure do have a different concept of this team's success blueprint than me. This is a major blow. Obviously the team needs to get the final opinion from their own doctors, but if initial reports are confirmed DL has a big task in front of him. He's got to find a starting point guard because unless someone has improved drastically I don't think we have one on the roster. We cannot leave this need unfilled. If we do the team is going to start bleeding talent as these contracts expire. It is critical that management prove to all the players that they are 100% committed to winning. That means we might soon have to cash in lots of assets, potentially including either Hood or Burks. Damn, that's gunna hurt.

I think both hurt the offense which is why we had the worst pg rotation in the league.
Both our point guards sucked. There was even a graph that someone recently posted that was hilarious because of how good our front court was and how laughably bad our backcourt was

I thought Siro was talking about his offensive impact. Dante sucked offensively. He did nothing but spot-up. He attempted more 3s than 2s and shot only %31. He was a 3&D player without the 3. Just because his defense makes his overall impact plus doesn't mean he is a good offensive player.

Never said he was a good offensive player, and I stand by my assertion that he was an overall positive impact player because he didn't hurt the team by wasting offensive possessions. Like I said, neutral on the offensive side and positive on the defensive side. Replacing him with Trey "negative on both sides" Burke will definitely hurt us, unless Trey has a breakout year. I won't be holding my breath.

One hurts the team a whole lot more, which might have had something to do with why Q made the switch in the first place. Also, Utah started winning a whole lot more around that time and maybe you think that was a coincidence, but I do not.

Hopefully we can grab an up and coming PG from a team that already has a starting PG (i.e., Schröder from Atlanta).


If not he needs to take a gamble in the next couple of drafts and try to pick out a Tony Parker type pick for us.

I don't think anyone is arguing Trey would help us better than Exum but Exum is not definitely neutral offense. He is minimizing his poor play but that doesn't stop him from being a negative on the offensive side. He doesn't hit his shots and constantly hurts the spacing. He is below league average by 4% on his 3% and that is factoring in bigs. He also got to the line 32 times in 82 games.

I think Jazzfanz is getting used to poor PG play. A good offensive PG could do wonders for this team.
