What big? 4 year 40 million?I'd be upset if the Jazz give him a big offer. But they probably won't.
What big? 4 year 40 million?
That is kind of what I hope for something starting around 11 or less and goes down by the 8% or whatever is allowed every year. Obviously I would love less than that for 4 years. Much more than that and I would get stressed about the amount. I think that is fair for both sides. The worst thing would be to get him on a 1 year deal and over pay.
Its shockingly quiet on his front.
I am worried that he wants more money than the Jazz are willing to offer him. So the Jazz want him to go get his own contract and they will match it. But teams assume it will be matched so no one is offering anything.
Either way his value is going to be really hard to figure out. I just want it to be 3 or 4 years at a reasonable price. Dont do 1 or 2 years. That is bad for the team. If he breaks out then we are screwed with him financially. I would rather take the chance he never gets better and is a 15 min a night energy guy and defense guy that is slightly overpaid than the other way.
I think it might take awhile to sort out.
But I hope I am wrong and just worried.
There are a few players we have not heard much about in his same boat.who would offer him alot? if that’s the case, we would’ve heard anything by now? I wonder what’s going on

He got good deals for both Exum and Favors, Neto is signed on a cheap contract. Pretty hilarious you are the only one complaining about these deals when for years the narrative was that the Jazz were cheap and wouldn't pay their or other players.I gotta ask Lindsey for a raise. The guy is generous.

18 for Favors isn't Good deal. 11 for a guy who is always hurt and can't dribble is high. Neto is a 15 man, he better be cheap. He got good deals for both Exum and Favors, Neto is signed on a cheap contract. Well I officially think you have no clue what you're talking about. There is a reason you're the only one complaining. These are good deals that help the team going forward. Exum is worth every penny of that deal now, He's a great defender and has a ton of potential to make this deal look like a bargain. Favors is likely going to get a similar contract to this when the Jazz either refuse his option next year or in 2 years when he is a FA again. That they got him for one year with a team option for year 2 makes this a good deal as well.18 for Favors isn't Good deal. 11 for a guy who is always hurt and can't dribble is high. Favors and Exum are both injury prone. Exum and his deal isn't too bad it's a slight overpay he's probably going to be about as valuable as Burks over the next 3 years. Not sure what the Jazz see in him, he still doesn't have great handles and his shot is a bit goofy. I guess it's based on his defense, and that's fine but he has to improve offensively.Well I officially think you have no clue what you're talking about. What would you have rather them done? Neither of them are on this team if the Jazz try and be cheap with them.
If the choice is these fairly reasonable and short deals or the team taking a huge hit because they lose them for nothing....Well then I, The Jazz and all but a few fans rather this.
Favors is 6'10" he's forced to play PF because we have Rudy Gobert, perhaps you've heard of him. BTW he's a pretty good PF and C. He's not too short to play C, He'd be as tall as quite a few starting Centers in the league. 18 Million a year is what good players go for, if he was great he'd get 30 Million and a long term contract. Also BTW all this cost the Jazz was a little bit of money, it had no bearing on the Cap, and very little on the tax line. It's a highly moveable contract and if they don't they get to choose whether to keep him or not if they can find an upgrade.Favors and Exum are both injury prone. Favors is in a weird spot, he's good but about 2 inches too short to be a really good center so he's forced to play the 4. He's a good 4 not great, definitely not worth 18 million a year. Overpaying your players wont make random players all of the sudden think hey I'm going to go to utah so they'll pay me. That's dumb.
