As much as i wanted to see him represent his country, I'd prefer a Zika virus free Exum for next season.

I don't care that I won't see him. NT usually is not the right indicator for the performance for the regular season. Smart choice.


Notice that the Jazz players are staying away from NT and preparing. Expect a huge season.

Yeah, I mean the two years we saw Exum play for Australia we where all excited till he actually started playing for Australia.

Kid missed a whole season. Give him a break. Yes I would see it as a pinnacle and go to every tournament too if I was the one in their spot, but you gotta respect pro athlete's decisions. Kid is trying to build a life here.

"Shattered for Dante" kind of makes it sound like it was Dante's decison, like he was forced into it.
 
Sucks. He should play if he is healthy. He needs it a lot.

Hopefully it is not anything health related but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Maybe it has more to do with Exum coming off injury than what country he comes from.
 
He needs to train... This is the best news for his career but I'm sure he's disappointed
 
It's disappointing because he should be playing games. Just hope focusing on the Jazz and preparing for next season would include playing in Summer League. Guy needs to be on the court playing 5 on 5 in actual games against guys who want to kick his ***.
 
Very random question, but will Dante be eligible for the rookie sophomore game next year? I assume not.

I assume you're right, but I don't think the rules for that game are hard and fast. It wouldn't surprise me if they made some sort of exception if he had a breakout season. Of course, if he has a huge breakout he'd end up in the actual All-Star game (which would be epic).
 
I'd have liked him to play but this certainly isn't bad news. Glad he's focused.
