1. pre all-star break stats are less meaningful since he was till recovering. But lets look at a few stats.
He is shooting a decent FT%
He has the 4th best defensive rating on our team
He has the third best defensive rating of anyone in his draft class
Exum is shooting the ball all around better than Hood who many are not as harsh on and is much younger.
His PER has gone up every month and is much better post all-star break now that he is somewhat recovered from a major knee surgery
He hold opp FG% to 43.7% which is one of the best on our team. Rudy is better at 43.1% for reference.
His true shooting % is average for our team at 53.1% which is better than Neto, Hood, Mack, Favors, Burks, Diaw and Lyles.
Hill and Hayward are the only ones on the Jazz that drive more than Exum, which was a knock on him before. He also shoots 51.5% on drives which is 4th best on our team.
He moves the fastest on defense of anyone one the Jazz
He gets the 4th most hockey assists on our team per game
He holds onto the ball the least amount of any of our PGs. The ball does not stick in his hands like the others.
He gets the highest percentage of contested rebounds out of any of our guards.
Almost every stat out there he is our 2nd or 3rd best isolation player. He gets the 3rd most points per possession in isolation. He gets to the foul line out of isolation the 2nd most, he gets and 1s the third most, his scoring frequency is 3rd best in iso situations for this team.
He shoots the second best as the ball handler in the pick and roll on our team just below our best Diaw. In pick and roll he draws a shooting foul the second most and gets the second most and 1s.
He is one of our better cutters. Off of cuts he shoots the 3rd best fg% on our team. He gets the 4th most points per possession on cuts.
As a spot up shooter he is shooting the same EFG% as Hill this season, which is average for out team.
Then there are a bunch of stats when you compare him to 21 or younger players in this league or sophomore players in this league that make him look favorable. Then if you compare Exum to other players who are 21 or younger and have not played basketball 2 out of the last 4 years he is #1 in every category.
It shocks me people dont think Exum is going to be fine in this league. The amount of progress he has made, the amount of raw talent he has and his work ethic and BB IQ let me know he is going to be around a long time and do well.
He gets the most screen assists of any of the PGs on our roster. He has drawn the second most charges on our team this season. Per 36 he recovers the second most loose balls on our team.
