What’s the longest you’ve gone?
How hard was it for you?
I started one. Lots of greats benefits per IG which is never wrong. I am 34.5 hours in right now. Did 46 hours two years ago which wasn’t bad.
Fasting is one of the most underrated things you can do for your health from a conventional standpoint. I find that most people think it's insane to do a 2-3 day water fast with electrolytes. I fasted once for 107 hours. It was very difficult and there were moments past 72 hours where I nearly wilted and began eating again. But It was profoundly beneficial to my health. Especially I thought it had a very good impact on my brain health. One thing to remember is that it's very important after a long fast to refeed in a smart way. See the 24 hours after you end your fast as a time to plant seeds with what you eat. start slow... maybe some Collegen peptides or bone broth. Wait a few hours. Drink a table spoon of EVOO, Avocado, Wild Blueberries, Eggs, unflavored greek yogurt. Walnuts, Wild caught Salmon, etc strewn in throughout the day... not all at once hahaWhat’s the longest you’ve gone?

lolWhat the **** is wrong with you people? Fasting? Absolute ****ing nonsense. The Germans put my mates relatives on a long involuntary fast in 40s and it didn't ****ing work out too well for them. Fasting... Idiots...
Well, if they just called it starvation, nobody would want to do it.What the **** is wrong with you people? Fasting? Absolute ****ing nonsense. The Germans put my mates relatives on a long involuntary fast in 40s and it didn't ****ing work out too well for them. Fasting... Idiots...

Give it 2, maybe 2 1/2 days and that will mostly go away.I’m so hungry.
So sorry to hear that. Another way religion has failed us. Instead of allowing people the dignity to choose how and when we force it to be ugly and mean and terrible for all involved because invisible sky Daddy might get mad or something. ****ing ridiculous. Although I applaud Oregon for at least having a law on the books, most of these laws needs to be expanded. Give people the choice they deserve. I think the same should apply to things like dementia. If the diagnosis is impending dementia then the individual should be allowed to choose to end it when they are still lucid and can have a final meaningful goodbye with their loved ones instead of becoming a burden on everyone and suffering until they die a much worse death. So much for us actually being civilized.Well, if they just called it starvation, nobody would want to do it.
My step-mother ended her life with VSED - Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking - basically starved herself to death. Her illnesses, while debilitating, did not qualify for the Oregon Death with Dignity act, as they were not terminal, and she didn't want to actually commit suicide, so VSED. It was pretty terrible for her, and for us to watch.
Right, they should allow you to add that into your advance directive - "If I get dementia and think it's 1984 again and can't recognize my children, just pump me full of drugs and let me float away." My mother-in-law is currently in that state, she thinks my wife is either her sister or a friend from high school, whereas she is the oldest child and the only one left (one died of cirrhosis and the other of an unspecified drug overdose.).So sorry to hear that. Not bad, close to 2 days. Try again after a few weeks. You can build up to it. How long did you want to go for? You were counting in hours so I'm assuming not more than 2 or 3 days?Too late. I caved at about 41 hours.
