Favors reminds me of Shaq

Consider Amare received 1000+ more minutes of development time his rookie season as well and was a year older and I actually think those numbers look good for Favors (although the foul rate is troublesome).

Favors has actually come the longest way among all NBA rookies this season. He had some games in summer league where he looked totally hapless.

Anyone else remember this: https://www.nba.com/summerleague/games/20100708/UTANJN/gameinfo.html

6 points, 7 turnovers, 5 fouls. Ouch.

From pre-season until now, I would make the case that Hayward has easily come the longest. Dude was a hapless, spastic turd out there until February.

And to the OP, easy buddy. Slow down.

Wish I could show you the tape on the game for which I linked the box score. Trust me, Favors looked like he didn't belong on the summer league team in that game. Rod Benson was just killing him.

Easily a combination of Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Roberto Clemente, Pat Tillman and Dr. Albert Schweitzer.

I think you understated it.

Not Shaq. Favors' body, leaping, and athleticism reminds me of Roy Tarpley. Had Tarpley stayed clean, he might have been an all star, multiple times. He played Karl Malone better than anyone early in Malone's career because Tarpley was just as strong, just as fast, but taller. That's who Favors reminds me of.

Garnett

Look at that size and explosiveness - I wouldn't let Big Al within a mile of this kid during the offseason.
