Feeling Better About This Team

Conley's play over the past month or more is very concerning. If he's not at the top of his game in the playoffs, this team isn't going to go very far. He's averaging just 28 minutes a game, which is the lowest amount since his rookie season, and he just had 9 days off during the all-star break to rest up. Not sure what happens in the playoffs when his minutes go up to 33-35 a game, but if he's fatigued now then we're in trouble come April and May.
I think the problem is teams have figured him out and he doesn't have anymore tricks in his bag to counter whatever defense is throwing at him. he doesn't do fastbreak, he doesn't throw half court passes. everytime he gets the ball it's always slow systematic setup. unlike dm he can run and throw those fast balls for easy layup. 3 vs 2? no Mike will just walk and dribble around. no risk it no biscuit

Love how crazy everyone is game to game. Regular season doesn't matter unless the Jazz are playing badly I guess.

They need to sit Gobert for a while to let his calf heal. That is going to be a nagging injury that slows him down and reduces his explosiveness and he depends greatly on that ability to switch directions and get to the rim to defend. If that is hampered we will be in trouble. I thought he was moving pretty good last night, as much as anyone was as we all just sucked last night, but there were a few times I felt like he stood back and I wonder if that is partly at least due to that injury.

Sato's not great but he could have helped make up for some of the playmaking that we lost with Joe. I think he would've been a good fit in our system, I definitely would've rather had him than Juancho.

Nope. Not feeling better.

lol I blame this thread for everything. It's probably responsible for Russia invading Ukraine and high inflation to boot.

Boots are more expensive now?

Sato setting on the bench is no different than Juancho setting on the bench. Why the hell does anyone think Quin tries something different after all these years? The system man, the system.

This was the earliest thing I could point to on arguing this being pure salary dump and not at all a basketball move. If we were really looking at a basketball move, we would have taken Satoransky to fill Joe’s role. But we weren’t looking for basketball moves and apparently never were. The Ingles injury was probably just a sigh of relief.

The guy who started it is a real dbag… can’t put this kind of positivity into the internet and not expect bad things to happen.
