Yep. Atlanta is who I have been saying for quite some time. He makes perfect sense next to Trae and covers up a lot of their defensive inefficiencies. He's the best player they could hope to get.I think it's going to be Atlanta. Just makes too much sense with them stalling out this year. Jazz won't get a lot back, but they will be dumb enough to try and compete with John Collins/Clint Capela and whoever they can trade for with the Hawks picks they get.
Jazz can probably off-load Gay with Gobert in this kind of deal too. Help save Ryan some money.
Initially I wasn't sure Atlanta would do that, but honestly they can't play a switch style of defense with Trae on the court so having a guy who is an improvement over Capela would be good. Collins isn't long for Atlanta and vice versa... both contracts are long like Rudy's deal is. I think the best we could hope for is Clint, John, and their first for Gobert/Gay... I think we may end up having to settle for Capela and Collins with maybe the charlotte pick they got from the Reddish trade or just a couple seconds. I think we end up being slightly disappointed with whatever Gobert trade we do.Yep. Atlanta is who I have been saying for quite some time. Collins, Capella and picks for Rudy. We probably try to get Huerter in place of picks. Hopefully we can add in Gay. Rudy is by far the biggest piece in the deal. Atlanta is worried about the luxury and we are too so that part would be interesting.
I could see this being a draft trade if both our seasons end tragically.

This. No matter what we will regret it in some fashion. Unless it nets us a marked improvement in outcome. Like if we get bounced in the 1st round this year, then trade Rudy and end up with a much improved regular season and at least get to the WCF the next year, we will mostly be ok with the trade. Anything less than that and we will have multiple threads about the worst trade in franchise history, And then after I make those threads, other people will make similar threads.Initially I wasn't sure Atlanta would do that, but honestly they can't play a switch style of defense with Trae on the court so having a guy who is an improvement over Capela would be good. Which is why I'd almost prefer a complete rebuild if we trade Rudy.... get all forward looking assets... then you dismantle the other pieces looking for similar pieces. Collins/Capela is cute but I don't think it gets us anywhere.This. No matter what we will regret it in some fashion. Unless it nets us a marked improvement in outcome. Especially since Bogey/Collins not a good fit together and does nothing to address perimeter defenseWhich is why I'd almost prefer a complete rebuild if we trade Rudy.... get all forward looking assets... then you dismantle the other pieces looking for similar pieces. You’d need a couple more trades to work something that looks like it fits… you’d have to nail them all to make it work.Especially since Bogey/Collins not a good fit together and does nothing to address perimeter defense
It's okay if we have a number of good players. Bogey is going to miss games. Collins can play some at C. Bogey can play a little at SF.Especially since Bogey/Collins not a good fit together and does nothing to address perimeter defense
I think you hit on the issue. We have a group of good players, but we do not have a good team. It's okay if we have a number of good players. Bogey is going to miss games. Collins can play some at C. Bogey can play a little at SF.
If we move on from Rudy, we can use a 7 or 8 good player model instead of our current 6 player model after Joe went down.

Directed at ownership and FO. Fans are collateral.I don’t get why he’s this salty. I mean I kind of get it but if he continues to do this it’s gonna tarnish what he did here a little.
