I don't remember any this bad, but perhaps I either don't look at the trade threads much or am looking at them thru rose colored glasses.

Do you know why they came up with such bad trades?

It's because that idiot Jody Gennesy made up that rumor about trading Favors. So of course they think they can get him cheap since we don't value him high and would rather have Millsap.

I'd be willing to be that Bulls fans would laugh at us for suggesting we trade a bunch of parts for Jimmy Butler. Funny thing is though, most the people here wouldn't do it.
 
Most fan bases are delusional and think they can trade for a star with a bunch of parts, and they want to do it.

Not our fan base. We'd rather trade Favors for parts and wouldn't trade parts for Butler.
 
Jazz actually have enough pieces that we COULD trade for a star if we desired to. Not many teams have that ability. I'm sure that we could put together a package to get Cousins if we desired. Gobert alone could probably get us any but perhaps a dozen players (and six or seven of the teams with those players would be idiotic NOT to do it.) It is important that we have success in order to increase the value of those players. Things are pretty bright in Jazzland.

The reasonable ones were saying mainly that Utah wouldn't even answer the phone for those offers or would hang up laughing, or were generally shocked that we would be willing to trade Favors at all.

funny tidbit. The poster who sounds like the voice of reason here is the same one that suggested the idiotic post I quoted. Even the reasonable ones are far undervaluing Favors' value to this team.

Last year, I was hoping for a Harris for Favors swap. Unfortunately, that opportunity never presented itself, but I believe that would have been the best offer. Perhaps after re-signing Harris, that talk with the Jazz can occur after December.

I reckon we might be able to trade Harris for Favors in the future, after we match him and he becomes eligible to be traded (providing there aren't any no-trade clauses).

Here's another crack at it without splitting up the core. Add the Lakers pick and 2nd rounders to Rox or Jazz to even it out as you may see fit.
