Fire Snyder - Jazz +10 when Favors plays but Snyder yanks him out

averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds a game does not make you one of the best players in the nba. it makes you very average. that's 2nd unit kind of stats. with his size and stature the man should be averaging 25 points and 15 rebounds a game. he has no skill, no finesse, always looks out of control and surprised when he gets the ball. always in a rush. only thing he can do is dunk
That's not 2nd unit kind of stats. That's starter stats for sure. But I think I get what you are trying to get at.

Gobert is a great starter, but not really a star and definitely not a super star.

If we are going to take that next step into a contender, we need Gobert to be our 4th best offensive player while staying our 1st or 2nd best defensive player. Right now, he is probably our 2nd best offensive player which hurts us since he is offensively challenged.

Honestly I would rather have Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Anthony Davis than Gobert. Gobert is a mediocre postgame away from being just as good as any of them.

All the stats you put up doesn't tell me that Gobert can get you 2pts when your team needs it.

Having someone in the MVP discussion > Gobert isn't controversial. Except maybe Embiid, that guy's an *******.

Is there a train wreck or plane crash emoji...

So we have the 4th best center in the league despite him having poor post play.

I see you are off you meds again.

Yes, just saying he could be better. Even Jokic, a player that's been briefly mentioned as a MVP candidate can be better. Denver wants him to lose weight for mobility etc. Just because you are really good doesn't mean you cant be better

I agree on the “can be better part”. Just emphasizing for the putz OP that his closest support in this thread has Gobert the 4th best.

Gobert is a great center in the league, he is 1 post move away from being elite

Posts like this irritate me, mostly that first one. Gobert is not one post move away from being elite. The dude is elite already. The guy leads the league in points per shot already, so his efficiency is top notch. That is only looking at his offense. He is the best defender in the world. He is the captain of elite.

He is not the 4th best center in the league. He does not average 20ppg, but the extra he adds to the team is not seen out in his personal stats. He's been a beast this year, even when the team was sucking. His comments and tweets are elite. Everything Gobert does is elite.

Brow demanding a trade and being a punk, Embiid being an idiot, and Jokic just not being as good overall bump them all below Gobert for me even if they are more skilled offensively and play good defense.
