Following potential 2012 draftees

I'm predicting 2 picks in the next draft in the 8 to 13 range. Here are those listed in the nbadraft.net and DX mocks.

DX
8 - John Henson
9 - Tyler Zeller
10 - Brad Beal
11 - Terrence Jones
12 - Jeremy Lamb
13 - Quincy Miller

.net
8 - Jared Sullinger
9 - Brad Beal
10 - Perry Jones
11 - Meyers Leonard
12 - Terrence Ross
13 - John Henson

I think they will be int eh 8 to 14 range as well but the Jazz pick might end up being #8 and GSW #14. Both teams are headed in opposite directions.

I talked with a co worker today who compared the Jazz drafting Humphries and Snyder to this upcoming draft. His point was that the Jazz will miss on both picks regardless of if they are both in the lottery or not.

Clearly Paul and AJ would be expendable under this scenario and could help with the PG situation.

I would hope so. If we could get Leonard, Miller and Rivers out of this draft even if we lost Millsap and Harris, we come out ahead, IMO.

I wouldn't mind that either but that doesn't help the PG problem at all.

Well yeah, but who does help the PG problem? I'm not a big fan of Marshall, I like Rivers but I'm still not convinced he ran run the point effectively, I know nothing about Machado, I'd like to study Lillard some more....there's just not a lot of PG help in this draft or the coming draft. We'd be better off taking a big man and trading Paul or AJ for PG help.

Meyers Leonard = Cole Aldrich

Except Meyers Leonard is much, much more athletic than Aldrich. Oh and the fact that he has an outside shot, oh and that he can actually dribble halfway decently for a big man. Essentially their only similarities is that they're tall white men.

This guy averages 8 rebounds per game in the Big 10, ugggh. He seems soft to me. Aldrich is a stiff, this guy looks like a cream puff. Same results will be the D-League for both.

Either way their playing styles are completely different. It was a terrible comparison.

I think I'm back on the Marshall bandwagon. I don't think Kanter or Favors are ever going to become dominant scorers, especially if they don't ever have a good PG. We need someone who can give our big guys easy looks.
