That's a fun new little stat. How about an easy one to grasp? Davis equals 180 blocks on the year to Withey's 136. How about UK gains possession of nearly 70% of Davis' blocked shots to Withey's 32%? How about everyone in the nation calls Davis the best shot blocker in the country ... some are even calling him, perhaps, the best since Oden or even further back?
Nope, everyone not named Cyrone-the-UK-hater, knows Davis is by far the best defensive guy/shot blocker in the country. You shoudl have just let me bail you out with my "April Fools!"
Just saying what Draftexpress said. Not my opinion. UK also plays a faster pace, and Davis plays more MPG than Withey. In 7 less MPG, he averages 1 less block than Davis. I don't think it's that ridiculous to think Withey could very well be a better shot blocker.
Well .. if Withey were going to a combine and measurements were able to be compared, I think it would be more apparent to those (you) who has any doubt. But as it stands, Withey will be heading back for his senior year and Davis on to the #1 pick in the draft.
I didn't say he was a better player, just a better shot blocker.
Just a question. If you had Marshall, Lillard and Rivers on the board, even though Rivers would probably play the 2, would you consider drafting him over the two PGs?
I'd consider it. I'm pretty honed in on Marshall at this point, though. Just watching his last 10 games...he was always the best player on the court. Then watching UNC without him? Nothing clicked for them. I feel like the Jazz are the same. We have all the talented pieces, but no one to put it all together and make it work on a nightly basis. If we get Marshall, I think we'll begin to see more than just glimpses of what our young core is capable of.
